website.

And when you click on them, except for the tax plan, they are all a bit vague.

Anyone have a link on his other positions?
>>
>>65618430
what specific information are you looking for?
>>
Those are the only issues that matter
>>
He has many plans
>>
>>65618726
I know this is unpopular on this board because you're a bunch of retarded hicks but I'm curious on his stance on the environment. Didn't he say he wanted to eliminate the EPA? Is he literally retarded?
>>
>>65618430
What the fuck do you mean 'vague'?

They delineate a clear list of policy objectives.

Did you expect him to fucking write the damn legislation?
>>
>>65618860
he wants the states to handle environmental protection. what is retarded about that?
>>
I hate this about Trump. He has the money to have someone write this kind of stuff for him yet he doesn't. Sometimes I think he isn't serious about running for president.
>>
>>65618860
Yes, it's much more environmentally friendly to force companies to produce hundreds of thousands of cars per year that nobody buys to meet the fleet standards for gas mileage than to just let them make the cars they want that sell. Absolutely brilliant I tell you.
>>
>>65618860

Global warming meme again
>>
>>65618860
the EPA is a fucking joke, just look a flint.
>>
>>65618860
The EPA is corrupt beyond belief. As for the environment, he stated that more power should be given to the states and that we should focus on oil and coal, making engines more efficient instead of wasting millions on wind farms and solar panels, which often create more carbon dioxide than oil anyway.
>>
Political positions are a meme considering they don't accomplish 95% of them anyway
>>
>>65618664
>what specific information are you looking for?
I would like to know more about his healthcare position.
>>
>>65618966
what specific information do you think he needs to add to his policy papers?
>>
>>65618430
This desu

I used to stump for the Trump and now I lube for the rube. Rubio has Literally hundreds of detailed plans and policies. Rubio will get my vote the Tuesday.

90% of his platform is states' rights issues being restored to the states and no longer invoking the federal government.
>>
>>65618430
I know that in the US you don't have formal manifestos that mean you can pass them easily, but by running on those easily identifiable 5 policies he has a democratic backing behind him, since those that vote for him will give them legitimacy to pass through congress.

I didn't know that. I assumed he just wanted to get rid of the EPA and have nothing in its place.

>pay people to write your policy
>don't do any of it when you're elected
>trump is bad because he doesn't explain how he'll handle every minor detail

Leftist and neocons are grasping at so many straws lol
>>
>>65619130
He doesn't really seem to have one tbqh, not exactly one of the big platforms he's running on.
As of now, he says he wants to break down the barriers that prevents health plans from crossing state borders, and then let the free market work things out, although he also seems to vaguely favor a social healthcare for life and death situations
>>
>>65619301
>90% of his platform is states' rights issues being restored to the states and no longer invoking the federal government.
Will he return NASA to the states?

Mr. Trump plans to take away the monopolies insurance companies have on states and specific areas, making health insurance cheaper for everyone.
>>
>>65619378
I was looking for more on the savings of 300 billion per year for drugs point.
>>
>>65619130
The president doesn't have a lot of power to influence that
>>
>>65619379
NASA is a government entity. States' rights involves whatever isn't expressly mentioned in our constitution.
Gay marriage, for instance. It should be a states' rights issue, not a federal mandate.
>>
He doesn't have any serious political positions besides:
>the wall
>ban Muslims
>cut the government
Everything else he flip-flops on. Take healthcare for example. I doubt anyone can tell me his actual position on healthcare since he's contradicted himself on more than one occasion.

He won't win if he doesn't develop some more talking points other than
>muh wall
>muh turrists
>muh business man
>muh zero taxes
>>
>>65619130
he said in the debate a few nights ago that he would repeal obama care and get rid of regulations that prevent free market competition between insurance companies. he also said that he will do something to prevent people from "dying in the streets" which presumably means that he would keep or perhaps even expand medicaid & medicare.
>>
>>65619544
NASA is not expressly mentioned in the constitution, so I assume it should not be done by the federal government.

>>65619512
>The president doesn't have a lot of power to influence that
Trump says he will defund Obamacare.
>>
One idea as to why its vague is to have cards to play when he's campaigning against Hillary. If he tells everyone the details of his plans now, the good parts of his ideas would just be copied by Hillary, or even the other current republicans.

This is optimistic Trump shilling, of course. It is possible he hasn't thought it through. But not planning ahead doesn't seem to be true to his character.
>>
Click the "issues" button at the top of the page you faggots. He has videos on plenty more of his positions.
>>
>>65619663
It started as an extension of defense. Defense is job of federal government.
>>
>>65619436
You do know they were trying to close an already existing leak in the mine, right? You don't really think that the entire world fits into your idealized version of partisan politics, as much as the commercial press wants you to believe, right?
>>
>>65619330
So you just listen to what you want to hear? Because he said he wanted to get rid of the EPA and let the states handle it in the same exact sentence
>>
>>65619663
Obama said many things too

Like about whistleblower protections
>>
>>65619652
Ok, so his plan is then as follows:

1. keep the anti-discrimination law for pre-existing conditions

2. remove states lines for competition

3. remove all of Obamacare

4. negotiate a 300 billion discount to prescription drugs

5. do not let people "die in the streets"

I assume this means there will be some kind of free market mechanism for people to buy private health insurance across the US? But if Obamacare is removed, then insurance companies could still choose to not offer a plan in a certain region or make it more expense somewhere than elsewhere. Also, if Obamacare is removed, but pre-existing conditions are kept, what are the criteria that private insurance companies can set a price for insurance? Also, why would anyone even get insurance, when he or she just can get insurance when they get sick and drop the insurance when they are healthy again?
>>
>>65619883
>It started as an extension of defense. Defense is job of federal government.
But the DOD has its own state department. There is a strict separation between defense space spending and civilian space spending of NASA. NASA does not seem to be covered by defense spending.
>>
>>65620010
You can already buy health insurance in the US, many businesses even give you healthcare as part of your wage
>>
>>65618966
You can't go overly specific because it's subject to criticism and over the top critique. Also he won't write any of the legislation himself so why do it here?
>>
>>65618860
The EPA is basically a mafia, they extort companies for fines and lie their arses off constantly
>>
>>65619544
Well too bad, fuckboi, you may want to discriminate against a small group of people whose actions have no affect on your standard of living, but the government says your shitty opinion isn't allowed to prevent other adults from marrying who they want.
>>
>>65620092
its budget is allocated by congress. You're missing the point hans. NASA is a government program. Americans are free to create their own space programs if they have the money and pass safety guidelines. There's no reason to hit NASA with a states' rights platform. What would require a states' rights platform is if the federal government decreed that NASA is the only space program allowed. It's out of their power to decree such a thing, and therefore would be a 10th amendment violation. THEN states' rights would have a platform involving NASA.
>>
>leaving environment to each state.

You guys have no fucking clue. Once again Republicans are retarded. Yes EPA, like any sufficiently large organization, will have corruption. Let's clean out the corruption.

People siting accidents when the real problem is and always has been unrestricted mining and corporate favoritism in politics.

>Flint Michigan's water!

Have none of you asked the obvious question WHAT THE HELL WAS THE LEAD DOING IN THE WATER IN THE FIRST PLACE?
>Muh Colorado River
WHAT THE HELL WAS THE WASTE DOING THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE
Oh look, it's mining again!

We put it there by allowing businesses the run of the place for decades to dump whatever fucking shit they wanted. The EPA does it's goddamned best but there's only so much they can do when companies don't properly dispose of their shit. Mine tailing ponds are designed to fail because they're made of earthen dams. Simple laws of physics but because they're cheap mining companies keep building them.

Look to businesses first retards. They're the ones shitting up the place.
>>
>>65620322
Fuck you retard, I agree that gay marriage should be allowed. But strictly Constitutionally speaking, they overstepped their bounds by not allowing individual states to make up their own marriage laws.

Its goal is to keep companies from doing stupid shit like poisoning your water supply you stupid fucks
>>
>>65620356
That makes no sense. Why then are the authorities to spend money specifically outlined in the US constitution and all else reserved for the states? The federal government cannot just say "we want to build unicorn statutes, 17 million of them" and get away with it. That would be unconstitutional. Every single act has to be in the authority of the feds. Just because there is money lying around does not mean you can spend it for anything.

The nice thing about Trump is he gets people that vote with their gut AND the ones who do their research.
Trump has laid out breadcrumbs on his policies here and there and only the people who want to learn more will collect them and piece them together.
In a few short months he's done an amazing job of showing who the most informed voters are, who the most corrupt talking heads in the media are and just how corrupt both political parties are.
>>
>>65619330
EPA sets a bare minimum standard. Most states try to go higher than that if they care about their citizens and the media shit fest that ensures when they try to be cheap about it like Flint.

Renewable energy is a good concept but our current models are still too inefficient for the average home owner than coal. Nuclear is the best option out if wind and solar. Need a few more generations of advances to close that inefficiency gap.

This is why I said NASA is okay because they're an extension of defense.

Trump is a businessman, he doesn't lay all his cards out on the table. Plus, he tends to be open to change if needed in his plans.

People want specifics, but he is not going to give them because that is not how he operates.
>>
>>65620880
Its pretty much in the Preamble
>Provide for the common defense

NASA was created by the DoD through DARPA in response to Sputnik.

It may not *seem* like it now but it is.
>>
Meanwhile, on Bernie Sanders issues section of his website

>It’s Time to Make College Tuition Free and Debt Free
>A Fair and Humane Immigration Policy
>Racial Justice
>Fighting for Women’s Rights
>Fighting for LGBT Equality
>>
>>65621537
NASA's manate is civilian spaceflight. The DoD has its own budget for spaceflight, actually a really big one. Every single dime spent on non-defense spaceflight is thus unconstitutional.
>>
>>65618859
He's gonna have a lot of plans.
>>
>>65621805
>non-defense spaceflight is thus unconstitutional.
You didn't read the articles, did you?
>>
>>65619374
Flag, nigga
>>
>>65622074
It is unconstitutonal because it is not specifically in the constitution and the DoD as its own spaceflight program. Only those parts which are specifically necessary for defense purposes are constitutional. Everything else should be dropped. For instance, I cannot see how it helps the defense of America to pay Russia for flights to the ISS.
