Evolution is about selective breeding mutations. Early giraffes with longer necks got more food, were more healthy,and reproduced more, and so now giraffes have long necks. Bird with stronger beak can eat more nuts, eats more, breads more, reproduces, now a type of bird with a stronger beak.
Faggot leaf bugs can't be explained that way. There's no random mutation that they could have actively noticed and preferred for mating that makes them look like an exact mimic of an object in their environment. They even walk in a distinct way to mimic leafs blowing in the wind to throw of predators. Evolutionary theory can't explain any of these faggot qualities.

These mutations that occur randomly over thousands of years would help the bug not get picked off by predators, the ones that don't look similar to the leaf are easier targets freeing up mates for the remaining bugs that look like the leaf. The bugs that look like leafs are less likely to be eaten and thus produce more children over their lifespan thereby increasing the rate of that gene in the species population. Because macro evolution is essentially a religious belief hiding behind pseduo-science. The main purpose for teaching children the theory of evolution is to dehumanize them. It's an extremely dangerous marxist concept.

Darwin was classically trained to be clergy. The reason his theory, some no-name little rich kid non-scientist who wrote a book while on a pleasure cruise, was able to gain traction was specifically because it was sold to the english aristocracy. And they used it as a reverse justification for treating non-englishmen as trash. The original origins of the species broke humans down into 40 something groups, with white anglo saxtons being at the top. What did our ancestors lose as a whole prior to the theory being introduced to public schools in the 1960s? It's a literal non-issue that shouldn't even matter if you view it strictly from a scientific/educational perspective.
Learning about evolution has zero effect on being able to read, write, do math, and all the other core essential skills that young children should be taught first. But it does serve to implant the idea into their mind that they came from rocks and that they are nothing more than base animals, forever skewing their perspective on their own self worth and humanity's as a whole, making them more susceptible to socialist collectivist ideology and rhetoric.
It's through concepts like evolution that children come to understand the idea of 'we are all equal'. It's the exact opposite of the religious belief that 'your god man you, and your god is the best, therefore you are better than others'.
