Proof of that can be seen by her widening the gap in national and upcoming state primary polls. Sanders is a much easier target for him. Hillary has been under attack before she even declared her candidacy so the attacks against her won't be fresh. She also has thick skin and is more than willing to get as ruthless as possible which Trump does not deal well in debates.
By comparison, Sanders has been largely ignored by the Republican candidates and Clinton is going soft on him as to not drive off his supporters. His history and the specifics of his ideology are not widely known so if he manages to get the nomination Trump will go ham on him and since that will all be fresh to the voters it will have a much larger impact. Constantly repeating things like that he's a self avowed socialist, that he honeymooned in the Soviet Union, that he supported the Sandinistas, that he had a Soviet flag in his mayoral office, etc. will kill him in the general election and Trump is the master of repetitive attacks.
Between Hillary and Trump, memes aside, it's easier for Hillary in that scenario. Yes, there is a strong anti-establishment trend in this country but its the majority in neither party (unless you count Cruz, but his support mainly comes from hardline conservatives rather than anti-establishment types). It will be pretty easy for her to drive wedges between him and moderate voters due to his extreme stances on some issues and she even even get wedges between him and conservative voters by pointing out things they agree on that they find distasteful. Meanwhile, Trump would be doing what everyone else has tried and failed to do for decades of smearing her into irrelevance.
Either way it goes it's going to be a bloodbath and I cannot wait to watch it.
