Maybe you misunderstood me when i said masters of seafaring as though you thought I meant they were masters of seafaring in the 18th/19th century, when I was referring to their golden ages, that is, 17th century. They could make safe voyages going from palau to leeward islands without any trouble. meanwhile europeans had to deal with attrition just to cross the atlantic.

Sugar and tropical fruits dont grow here. The climate is too different. There are some plants that are very adaptable and can grow anywhere like potatoes but most tropical fruits or sugar need moist hot and tropical conditions to grow. The caribeen, gold coast africa and the pacific are good locations for those kind of plants. Even the most tropical place in america cant grow those plants on a large industrial scale.

Hawaii is beautiful and great weather year round. Oahu is the most populated island where pretty much all our jobs are. If you're poor, you live in a not so nice area, but people don't shoot each other here, and the beach is free. If you're successful, goddamn do you live a good life. Also, I grew up going to Waikiki and meeting girls from all over the country and the world. I had a blast. Bring a bottle of alcohol and get tourists to drink at the beach. Ive been all over the world and Hawaii has some of the most beautiful girls because of how diverse the local population is coupled with the influx of women from all over the world walking around Waikiki.
