Ok, I'll answer your question: Some Americans aren't so much annoyed at China as they are annoyed at their own government's religious commitment to free trade and movement of capital (think lolbergs), to the degree it undermines the American economy, allows them better access to their markets than they get in return, allows Chinese state backed firms to buy out US assets when the CCP would never allow the reverse etc.
