All secure and stable professions which will give you a rewarding life.
Spend 5-7 years in the military, spend 30 years in civilian life, now you are 65 and with medical advancement and a sensible saving plan you will have over $1M USD in cash savings and equity in a home and a life expectancy of 100-100.
At this stage you will have raised 2 children to full adulthood and have kept a stable household with your life partner. You can now chose to do anything you want, live in the woods, travel the world, become active in politics and social campaigns, develop hobbies and interests.
Life is a trade off, you give up the first half of your life for service (either yourself to further your personal wealth or your community as a public servant) then you spend the second half of your life enjoying the fruits of your labour.
