I can find several historical interpretations of "natural born citizen" online.
Not one includes a man born on foreign soil to a citizen mother and a non-citizen father.
Born on foreign soil to citizen parents or even just a citizen father? I can find those. Citizen mother only? No.
For the past few days I've been of the opinion that Trump shouldn't bother with this. The way the nation handled the question with Obama it's clear that nothing short of an act of Congress will make the requirement meaningful again.
But then it dawned on me that if Cruz were to win the Democrats would pursue it relentlessly.
