That mixed with the materialistic values people have grown to adopt which lead to the rise in narcissism that we see in today society it is perfectly clear to see why people don't have children. They are to caught up caring about themselves and only themselves. Which is why we also see the huge influx of divorce rates in western societies.
Me as someone who is agnostic knows the only answer for this is God. People need to be god fearing. It leads to traditional values such as starting a family and actually being a man or woman. That is why Eastern societies are thriving and we are not.
