Thats actually completely bullshit, and gives no sources. More people are eating meat than ever, especially in China.. and Beef prices for example have been through the roof.

Whats more disgusting is that youre aware they are an idiot, and seem to think youre on Reddit and will get upboats for your hilarious screencap.

Fuck off cunt, this is a shitpost and we should report it as such.

I feel strange when I don't eat meat. Like my dinner just feels incomplete. I'm not going to stop eating it. Why would I? It's so versatile. I used leftover Turkey to make a salad taste great. The week before I made grilled cheese with bacon in between. I love moose meat for burgers and sausages, fish is usually fine with me...why go vegan?

You seem to have a lot of anger inside you. Is it all that animal corpse you shovel down your gullet daily?

You do realise that you're a minority now, as this woman has just proved. You don't need sources when you have cold, hard facts. There's no need to be abusive towards me, I'm just trying to make friends on here with my screencaps of awesome things people need to know.

Keep spreading your lies and I will call for backup to help report you and shut you down

Would those turkeys and meese enjoy being POUNDED and GRINDED into burgers? Protip: they wouldn't. It is literally done for your enjoyment. Your privilege as a man is making you believe not only that you need to eat meat, but that you WANT to. I implore you take a look at this cold, hard evidence once again and reflect on your oppressive speech. Even someone like you and Mr Abuser up top can make a difference
>>
>>59935578
how is that?
If industry noticed a fall in the meat consumition it would breed less animals and produce less meat.
And if the industry wasnt awere of this fall, the same amount of animals would be sacrified anyway and the unsold meat would be stored frozen or trown away.
>>
>>59935578

I saw so eone post this on kikebook earlier today so decided to do a bit of research.

Accirdi g to the usda, consumption of all meat products has done nothing but rise year on year and is still predicted to do so in 2016.
The reason for fewer slaughters is a slightly weaker year for the US agricultural market, so theres been fewer cows to slaughter and so more meat has had to be imported, stocks are ecpected to replenish soon tjough, bringong beef prices back down.

Meat is anti nigger food, because niggers now mostly only eat veggies, GMO corn that couldnt grow in the desert.

So because I hate niggers, I will make sure to keep eating meat so that I deprive the most amount of niglets with my actions of food, so that more of them starve. I hope I kill a lot of them.

Good night you filthy fucking vegan kuffar coward.

Burn in hell this festive season. Fuckinh islamophobe

Coward

I bet you tried to filter me because you can't refute these facts

The Quran teaches that God is extremely displeased with those who prohibit anything that was not specifically prohibited in the Quran (16:116). The upholding of any prohibitions not specifically mentioned in the Quran is tantamount to idolatry (6:148-150). Such prohibitions represent some other god(s) beside God. Worshipping God Alone means upholding His Laws alone.

The prohibited food and meat is detailed in 2:173, 5:3, 6:145 and 16:115. From these verses we have a clear account of what is halal (lawful) and what is haram (prohibited).

"He only prohibits for you the eating of animals that die of themselves (without human interference), blood, the meat of pigs, and animals dedicated to other than God. If one is forced (to eat these), without being malicious or deliberate, he incurs no sin. God is Forgiver, Most Merciful." 2:173

Veganism is actively haram. Since prohibiting what Allah has not forbidden is a haram.

Clear as crystal. Get fucked islamophobe.

Inshallah. I love Allah so much.

It could also be because growing chickens is more cost effective than raising cattle or pigs. You gotta remember that Coca-Cola and Pepsi made mutual agreement on transitioning to corn syrup because it saved them pennies by the ton. Switching to chicken is basically the same.

That's true but I think the difference is pigs are raised to die by and for people who raise no moral objection to an animal's death so I don't think intentions matter.

Vegans pontificate loudly about the virtues of their diet while being directly responsible for the deaths of millions of animals.

human poop is excellent fertilizer and used to be used to grow the highest quality of food in Paris where people would use their own waste to fertilize small backyard gardens for their own vegetable needs.

It is also a good idea to piss on your own garden for fertilization as urin is rich in nitrogen and phosphates.

Don't do this shit if you're on meds though because that kind of stuff sticks around.

If they are lucky, they will only suffer breathing problems as the liver enlarges and takes up too much space thus exerting pressure on the lungs and other internal organs.

Food Warning Labels
The great Greek doctor Hippocrates said “Let food be thy medicine and
medicine be thy food.” Now, imagine if food was actually regulated like
medicine: What if food producers had to follow the same requirements
the pharmaceutical industry must follow when medical studies tie a
product to a significant risk of serious or life-threatening effects?
A platter of tree nuts, legumes, alliums (onions and garlic), vegetables,
fruits, and grains might carry this warning label:
Food Facts
Active Ingredients
Fiber and essential nutrients, including plant protein, vitamins,
minerals, phytochemicals (such as carotenoids, flavonoids, terpenes,
sterols, indoles, and phenols) and antioxidants that have
shown benefit against certain cancers in experimental studies.
Warnings
Allergens: Contains tree nuts, legumes (peanuts and soybeans),
and the grains wheat, rye and barley (which contain
gluten, a protein composite).
Purpose
For the promotion of good health. These ingredients may
reduce the risk of some forms of cancer, heart disease,
stroke, obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, constipation,
osteoporosis and other diet-related chronic diseases.
Directions
All ages: Consume three to five servings per day, raw or cooked.
Other Information
May be stored at room temperature or refrigerated for days
to weeks.
Inactive Ingredients
Peels, shells, and other biodegradable materials.
>>
>>59945498
Honestly I'm not a vegetarian, I just don't have a boner for dead animals, cardiovascular disease and actually trying to prove to people I'm not a fag by eating more meat.
>>
>>59945702

A platter of meat, fish, and dairy, on the other hand, would carry a
more extensive label that might look something like this:
Food Facts
Active Ingredients
Essential nutrients, including protein, vitamins, minerals,
and essential fatty acids.
Warnings
Allergens: Contains milk or milk products, eggs, fish, and
shellfish.
Ask a doctor before use if you have: Cardiovascular disease,
cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, hypertension,
obesity, or osteoporosis, or if you are pregnant or nursing.
Biologi cal agents: All primary food-borne pathogens derive
from animals, including:
• Bacteria: Salmonella, Clostridium perfringens, Campylobacter,
Staphylococcus aureus, Shigella, E. coli O157:H7,
Yersinia enterocolitica, and Bacillus cereus, among others
• Parasit es: Parasitic protozoa, roundworms, and
tapeworms
• Prions: These proteins in misfolded form may cause
Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD) or Variant Creutzfeldt-
Jakob Disease (vCJD)
• Vi ruses: Rotaviruses, astroviruses, and bovine leukemia
viruses.
Chemical and other eti ologi cal agents: May contain arsenicals,
pesticides, mercury, chromium, polybrominated diphenyl
ethers (PBDE), dioxins, and chemically related compounds.
Meat and meat products may contain slaughter waste, antibiotics,
artificial growth hormones, veterinary drug residues,
trioxypurine, adrenalin, cholesterol, and fecal matter. Fish and
shellfish may contain potent marine biotoxins.
Bioaccumulati on in animal ti ssues: Chemical and other
etiological agents build up in fat, so low levels in animal
feed can produce harmful concentrations in human foods
such as meat (including fish), milk, cheese, and eggs. Tuna
and other large fish store more mercury than smaller fish
because they live longer and ingest smaller fish who themselves
store mercury.
>>
>>59945715
Meat is healthy and keeps you strong. Yes, it has some downsides to it, but what doesn't? I'm alright with an honest vegetarian or a vegan, if he doesn't shove his ideology down my throat, but the recent vege-shilling looks like just another facet of the liberal ideology to keep people unhealthy and white men more effeminate. So, no thanks, I'll keep my meat.
>>
>>59945822

The primary means of human exposure
to dioxins is through the consumption of animal fats,
in which dioxins accumulate. Further bioaccumulation occurs
when humans consume these animal products. Women can
transmit these toxins to fetuses through placental tissue and
to infants through breast milk.
Ot her risk factors: May increase risk of heart disease,
cancer, obesity, iron deficiency, asthma, birth defects, ear
infections, stomachaches, bloating, diarrhea, gout, hypercholesterolemia,
angina, hypertension, prostate disease,
multiple sclerosis, kidney stones, cataracts, osteoporosis,
diabetes (I and II), rheumatoid arthritis, macular degeneration,
hypertension, acne and other skin conditions,
migraine, lupus, depression, Alzheimer’s disease, muscular
dystrophy, Parkinson’s disease, cognitive dysfunction, erectile
dysfunction, irritable bowel syndrome, body odor, and
bad breath.
Global public health risks: Feeding practices and intensive
confinement of genetically similar animals fuel zoonotic pathogen
adaptation and restrict animals’ evolution for resistance to
pathogens. Approximately 73 percent of the emerging human
pathogens are transmitted to people from animals. The transfer
of multi-drug-resistant pathogens from farms and food to humans
(e.g., avian influenza H5N1 and swine flu) constitutes a
serious biomedical, public health, and biodefense threat. In the
United States, farm animals generate three times more excrement
than humans, and this waste contaminates water, land,
crops, other vegetation, and the air. A United Nations report
names animal agriculture as one of the largest sources of global
warming emissions.

"Free range", I've learned, is very much a weasel word in the industry. The "free" animals are raise in captivity in the dark, and then allowed to leave the barn as adults, but the don't because they've never seen the outside world or the sun and so they can't handle the light, forcing them to stay indoors in blackened, crowded, filthy conditions. There are other ways that the industry abuse the label "free range" but you can check that out online.

Some farms - small local ones - produce meat that is cruelty free, genuinely, and if you support them, that's a step in the right direction. Very laudable. But 95% of the time, the "free range" label comes with a slew of unacceptable caveats to any thinking man. You'd do well to actually visit the farms, just to see with your own eyes how they operate. Any legit farm would welcome such visitors.

Anyway, if only for reasons of conserving the environment and doing your health a favor, it's still best to avoid meat products. But I hear what you're saying and the strategy of voting with one's dollars is an important one.
>>
>>59945925

The public risks from consuming animal
products (e.g., infectious diseases, widespread pollution, global
warming, and shortages of energy, water, and food) may exceed
the personal health risks.

Purpose
To prevent starvation. There are virtually no nutrients in animalbased
foods that are not better provided by plants. Reliance
solely on animal products may create nutritional deficiencies.
Directions
Ask a doctor or health professional before use.
Wash your hands after coming into contact with animal products,
and wash cooking, serving, eating, and food preparation
surfaces and utensils after they come into contact with animal
products. Keep out of reach of children until properly cooked.
Approximately one in six Americans gets sick from foodborne
diseases every year. Follow recommended storage
temperatures and maximum storage times before and after
cooking. Cook meats to an internal temperature of 165°F or
greater. Discard beef suspected to contain bovine spongiform
encephalopathy (BSE), as the pathogens cannot be killed via
cooking—however, this may not be discoverable, as a single
hamburger may contain meat from hundreds of animals,
and the USDA has banned private-party BSE testing in the
United States. Prion proteins, the precursors of prions, have
been discovered in pasteurized milk, and this could represent
a risk of exposure to transmissible spongiform encephalopathies
(TSE), including BSE. Cooking animal tissues can create
known carcinogens. Animal flesh should be sufficiently
heated to prevent food poisoning from pathogens, but not
heated enough to create excessive cancer-causing agents.

Other Information
Store at 37°F for 2–3 days for most meats, 1 day for seafood,
3–5 days for milk, 2–3 weeks for eggs (in shell); keep all
tightly covered and protect from excessive moisture. These
are general guidelines only.
Inactive Ingredients
Anticoagulants, antimicrobials, antioxidants, binders, coloring
agents, curing accelerators, denuding agents, film
forming agents, flavoring agents, packaging systems, pH
modifiers, poultry scald agents, and tenderizing agents.

No I am not riding the libshit gravy train. But cutting DOWN on meat can have extremely positive effects on your body and your world. Like 2-3 times a week, affordable, free range chicken and wild caught fish. Grass fed beef only on occasion. >"Free range", I've learned, is very much a weasel word in the industry.
True. If you want to eat good meat, go out into the country side and make friends with a farmer you can trust and start buying from him only.

Sometimes you can take a shortcut by making friends with a top of the line butcher, but his stuff will be loads more expensive.

Also hunter supply top quality meat since it doesn't really get any more free range or organic than a deer living in the woods.

>A goose naturally eats like crazy before migrations, most of them make their liver explode.

So most of a given population in this species behaves in a way that is suicidal, and they evolved naturally towards that behavior? Really? The countryside is littered with dead geese with exploded livers?

And "non-cheap" fois gras is collected from the exploded corpses of these geese, found randomly across the continent? And this is the kind of fois gras that only some 0.00001% of the population eats? And you think that this is relevant in a discussion of ethics and public policy?

And I should ask myself how I treat other animals? What makes you think that I would be comfortable with the torture of one animal but not another? I am, like 99.9% of all other vegetarians/vegans opposed to torture for any animal, period. But you believed otherwise?

I'm for good, tasty food.

There's no point in forcing people to eat vegetarian, it should happen voluntarily because it tastes better. Unfortunately 99.9% of cooks are incapable of accomplishing this. Even at excellent cantina I go to 4 days a week I will only end up eating vegetarian once per week at most because the other 3 days the meal consists of too much bullshit for me to enjoy. Anything mashed I already dismiss and they offer mashed potatoes or mashed parsnips, mashed carrots or even mashed peas way too often there.

On the other hand if they have a tasty mushroom risotto with some parmesan on the menu I'll be all over that shit no matter what the meat option is.

Worst crime is that most vegetarian cooks don't know how to season properly and barely ever add any salt when it is the vegetarian meals especially that need strong seasoning to bring out the flavour. Also you need very good organic produce, of higher quality than meat by far, for it to have any taste.

It's way easier to create tasty food with meat because meat is inherently more flavoursome than vegetables which is why most places offer so much more meat because they can get away with cheaper produce.

Yes, eventually yes. But it will take some time. Producers don't get rid of their capacities overnight. A demand shock almost always means lower prices in the short and often in the medium term. Take today's coal prices as an excellent example.

If you ever had a dog or a cat you would probably understand. They're sentient beings, have feelings, are intelligent and haven't done anything to deserve treatment like this.

You're just wrong, there is literally no reason why it shouldn't be simple for any vegetarian to hit 4000k a day. Carbs are the food group with the most calories and they are vegetarian.
>>
>>59949944
Either way the producers hurt and production will be forced to decrease. Anyway I think the endgame is that everyone will eventually become vegetarian. As certain parts of the world develop and education improves, I think this goal is easily attainable. I am not under the delusion that 100% of the world will willingly become vegetarian, there will always be people who don't give a fuck about others, but if we had even 90% I believe it could become law.

>Carbs are the food group with the most calories
anon... pls....
>>
>>59947484

Calorie intake is not a problem for vegetarians. Plenty of long-distance athletes who eat 5,000 calories per day during competition and 3,000 - 4,000 in off-season. Lots of non-meat products are ridiculously calorie dense.

>Anyway I think the endgame is that everyone will eventually become vegetarian.
Too much cultural value would be lost for that to actually happen
>>
>>59950544
*fat, my point still stands, they're easily attainable in a vegetarian diet.

Cows, chickens and pigs deserve it because they are tasty. Dog and cat aren't good meat. Gator, turkey, squirrel, rabbit, deer, bison are all tasty meats.

I know this is a bait, but I'm in the mood, so I'll bite. A demand shock rarely means a complete halt in production. A decrease in demand doesn't mean demand will cease to exist, that is a foolish notion.

Also, grass munching is still a very fringe lifestyle that is almost exclusive only to the western world. There is a growing middle class in the third world and they will sure as hell want to eat meat. The demand will go up. In fact, I kinda doubt OP is right, but I am playing along.

You say that ironically but isn't that actually the real reason when you think about it? Answer seriously
>>
>>59950855
Overcooked steak, holy shit stop ruining meat.
>>
>>59950824
>easily attainable
By what standard?

Over centuries fat was the most valuable food ingredient precisely for that very reason that it is the most calorie dense and people had to do a lot more hard labour back in the day. Olive oil was fetching high prices unless you happened to live in a region where it is actually possible to cultivate olive trees.

Nowadays we plaster the tropics with palm trees farming for palm oil destroying irreplaceable eco systems in the process.

We need to rethink the way we farm on a more fundamental level than debating about meat vs. no meat.

>almost exclusive only to the western world
I already addressed this.
>As certain parts of the world develop and education improves
In the hypothetical scenario I described, 90% of the world were vegetarian, thinking this wouldn't lower production is delusional. We're already seeing the effects of 375 million vegetarians worldwide. The stats OP posted are legit. Whether it's becoming vegetarian, eating healthier or no meat Monday, people are eating less meat and production is noticeably decreasing to compensate for this lowering in demand
>>
>>59950908
There's cultures living on an 80% meat diet in the northern regions of the planet. There is no way in hell people will allow you to force them to give up on that, oppressing their culture.

But even then, just look at Europe. French cuisine that was formed through centuries of aristocracy and absolute monarchy has meats as part of many of their dishes. Giving up on cooking these is on the same level as not performing Beethoven any more.

It's possible to get those foods, but these farmers represent a small proportion of the industry, and their foods cost a lot if you have to import, which means that the percentage of people who would benefit from buying these foods, as you recommend, is minimal. This commits the same error that you made in your other post. Specifically, because your solution is an option available to so few people, it is almost totally meaningless in a discussion of ethics and public policy.

Moreover, even if you do pursue this idea that everyone should spend a lot of money to import these ethical meats, you are still ethically irresponsible. This is because shipping products around the world involves extremely high externalized costs. My chief concern is the fossil fuels burned which contribute to global warming. I won't bother getting into all the other ethical shortcomings and environmental impacts of the oil industry and globalization. I'm sure you're familiar with them.

So we have to buy local. We have to buy ethical. If that means that we can't eat meat, so be it. If you don't like it, you can start your own farm. But don't believe for a second that your "solution" is in any way ethically sensible, economically viable, environmentally responsible or meaningful in a public policy context. It isn't.

That's the exact argument that was used to justify slavery a long time ago.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/ethics/slavery/ethics/justifications.shtml
And as I previously mentioned, as these cultures develop and are educated the majority of that country will want to become vegetarian. I'm not suggesting that we march on places and force them to, but if the majority of a country is vegetarian, meat will be banned in that country
>>
>>59951410
Yes, I know you did, but you're wrong. You can't shill so many third world people into such rapid change of their diet. Western people are the easiest to manipulate for some reason. It's a shame, because I like you, but you have a lethal design error.

No, not by a long shot unless you show me a generally held opinion that said "Slavery is an art form that should be lauded, appreciated and enjoyed".

>You see the crust on top of it.
So you know nothing about cooking meat. That's okay, feel free to take a cooking class at some point of your life.

No, but maybe people should stop being such fucking retards flaunting about their diets as if it makes them saints.
>>

>It's a shame, because I like you, but you have a lethal design error.
K

I mentioned that you would have to wait for these cultures to develop and for their education to improve.
>As certain parts of the world develop and education improves
Those third world countries aren't going to be third-world forever, eventually they will become developed and many of them will have access to the same resources we have, eg. internet and enough food to eat. There would be no reason why they wouldn't decide to become vegetarian too

if more people stop eating it, then I'll enjoy my even cheaper meats

Eating meat made us intelligent as a species. There is evolutionary proof.

If vegetarians are willing to dumb us down as a species, they can count me out permanently.
