I had a cat that was basically born hunter, brought in everything, even a live bird once that she let go and the bird panicked and started flapping around leaking blood and dropping feathers all over the room.
We didn't declaw her, we put on a collar with a bell during the Summer, whenever she went to pounce on a bird, the bell would ring and the birds would fly away.
I admit I felt really bad for her, but God damn she was bringing in something every other day.
