Mate your really just washing your hands more which is just more hygienic in general. You would get more germs from the kitchen counter (unless you shake hands with india).

This is a bit stupidly overgeneralized, but I worked in Dubai for a while recently and was amazed at how obsessed they are with cleanliness there, especially the Arab men. Their clothes are always pristine and they are always washing themselves. It's no accident that we have phrases like "all the perfumes of Arabia" either. It makes a country like Australia or the US look very dirty in comparison. This was a big eye opener to me. Some cultures are particularly obsessed with hygiene. Predminantly white countries like Italy or France would come relatively low on this list.
