/pol/, I am a network television air operator. My job as a network affiliate is to live truck shots and network feeds and broadcast them over the air when mandated among many other things. I see a lot of "behind the scenes" things that no one else sees. When I attain a live shot, the talent is able to be monitored for several minutes or over and extended period of time before they actually go to air. There are usually at MOST two operators working at a time. I often work alone and I'm solely responsible for all content that goes to air in a technical sense.
Today's event was a false flag of a Sandy Hook type design and there is no question in my mind of it based on what was seen from my seat.

Master Control as a job description controls satellite receivers as part of regular job functions. When coordinates such as Galaxy 16-KU, 11857.6 MHZ at an FEC rate of 3/4 and symbol rate of 6.33333... well we pretty much have to see it before it goes to air don't we? If any of those numbers are wrong, there is no shot. We check it and once it is established, we route it to news so they can switch it to air. Prior to this, they must be cued by a director. Before that happens, they stand at ready speaking with their camera person or producer via IFB. Before air, there is plenty of banter.

Okay, I think I get what's going on. They knew these assholes from ISIS were planning this. There were three of them, so that means communications that could be monitored and certain purchases that could be tracked, which they did, because they can do it as soon as someone lets on that they'll do something like this. But instead of stopping them, they instead used the data to determine a place to plant crisis actors, who only say what they're told to say on pain of...hell, I don't know. Employees of the facility were ordered to not to talk to the media because they saw the truth. But they did, and I saw a mention of a room being reserved for something. It's possible that the crisis actors were placed there in advance under the guise of a job fair.
