Let me start off by saying I agree with you. I often do not understand the 2nd amendment.
I see in the news where some crazy shot up a school or some kid shot someone and fucked up their whole life. The news however likes to blow these things incredibly and dramatically out of proportion.
Think about how many guns there are out there in the US. There are casual gun owners all over the place who at most go out in the backyard and shoot at some tin cans. I don't like the assholes who go out and shoot animals cause they're 'hunters' or whatever. That's bullshit. I've had a hunting license and a concealed carry and I've never actually owned a gun personally. I just got certified so I'd know what I was doing if I had to use one.
And honestly I don't need a gun. You know why? Because out there across the country there are plenty of other people who have them. Maybe they don't fully understand why they have them or maybe they have them for some stupid reason but the fact is at the end of the day if something like Isis or some other fucked up criminal organization actually set foot in the US they'd be totally fucked.
They'd be fucked by the military, then they they'd be fucked by the police, then they'd be double gangbanged and sodomized by the general public.
The simple fact of the matter is, when you do actually restrict people who are innocent you do nothing, absolutely nothing to penalize actual criminal thugs. They will ignore your laws anyway, why would they stop carrying guns? It's the same as the MPAA cracking down on torrents by going after the innocents. Do you think anyone seriously into criminal exchanges of data gave a fuck? No, because they were behind 15 proxies.
