To follow up mtDNA is called MITOCHONDRIAL DNA. It's not on the X chromosome dummy.
It is possible to inherit different mitochondrial genomes (which are maternally inherited). This is called heteroplasmy.
It's rare and is thought to contribute to some metabolic diseases and possibly another genetic cause for Autism.
So yes it's possible but 23andMe cannot detect it. They will report the most common mtDNA variant (you usually will inherit like 30% A and 70% B)
To find out for sure you need to be sequenced. Or PCR if you know what variants to look for.
