You have to fill out ATF form 4473 and they call in an FBI background check which takes a maximum of 10 minutes, but otherwise yes.

Actually, they probably don't hand you the gun in the display case, but a boxed gun from the back.

I wouldn't know about that last bit though, my local Wal-Mart doesn't sell guns. But the process for ammo is literally just you get a Wal-Mart employee to unlock the ammo cabinet and they hand you the ammo you want and you pay for it.
>>
>>57321326
Course it is. That's how many gun owners there are in the country and we don't have nearly as many shootings using them as you'd believe.

They do a background check on you at the counter. There's a computer where you put all your info into some database and it searches to see if you got any warrants or things that would keep you from buying a gun.

Once you have the gun in your possession they walk you out of the store and to your car. Bought a shotgun once from walmart and they had the local cops follow me home. But then again I live in the middle of nowhere so that was probably the highlight of their day
>>
>>57321142
They walk you out, I think.
>>
>>57320726
Yeah, people are buying them whole instead of building them from parts.
>>
>>57321142

>>
>>57320832

>>
>>57321409
Yeah, they get it from the back. The one near me wanted me to tell them what I wanted ahead of time so they could make sure to have it in stock. Then they wanted me to wait there until the manager came around to escort me out of the building.

I still wouldn't do my real gun shopping at Wal*Mart, but I figured hey why not just do it for the experience.

>You have to wait like 48 hours for the FBI to do a background check

Thats bullshit a background check can take as little as 10 minutes. Some states make you wait 48 hours before you can take possession of it though. It's whats known as a "cool down period". The thought is that if someones mad and wants to buy a gun to shoot someone it will give them time to reconsider. Of course this is retarded and has probably never worked and is just a huge inconvenience.

It's not done yet, I still need to add a BX trigger, a bipod and oh yeah, I'm getting the barrel cut down to 12.5" and having pic related (3.68" length) permanently affixed to the muzzle so the barrel length is over 16". And if I can find an upper handguard that works well with the thinner profile stock I have I'll get one of those too. Then it will be done.

The scope is 1.5x20 btw, it's so good. Low magnification fixed optics get my dick so hard.

Yeah, because military calibers are evil and thus were restricted. You needed an authorization to buy those so people didn't bother and went for civilian calibers instead. Nowadays you need an authorization regardless, if it's scary looking, socialists don't want you to own it.
>>
>>57322192

Don't count on a 1911 as a carry gun. That's a big, heavy gun that you'll end up just not carrying at all. Get a single stack 9 mm of some sort.
>>
>>57322134
Usually yes, but recently AR prices have dropped so low due to lack of demand that it's usually cheaper to buy a prebuilt AR than to build one yourself. Once the prices go back to what they were before the speculative bubble burst it will be cheaper to build your own again.

There are some of the less common types of AR-15 such as 9mm where it's still cheaper to build your own, but .223 or .22lr ones, no way.

You wouldn't want to go to walmart to get one.

Besides, people forget that each state is like it's own country in terms of laws. This is only seen in some states. Not in states like California though.

No. "You" cannot.

There are restrictions on who can. Not just anyone can.

Many Walmart stores do not carry firearms. even those that do, it's rare to see a large selection. This is governed by region and local laws and culture.

Going through life as an ignorant shitposter on /pol/, OP, is a terrible waste of a raving faggot.

Shit, WalMart barely stocks ammo these days. My local WalMart sells Muzzle Loaders in early Autumn and nothing else. The ammunition counter is barren most of the time.

>You can literally walk into any Wal-Mart in America

Not sure if I should give a time in day to a LMAO WEEDadian bait shitposter but here it goes.

1) Actually you can't go anywhere in America and buy one in Wal-Mart. It all depends on the State/Local laws and whether or not the local population for which the Wal-mart caters to buying firearms.

2) This image is old. They stopped selling AR-15's for a while now

3) The prices are ridiculous and you can easily get any of them cheaper at a gun store.

4) You have to get your fucking ass background checked. You honestly think anyone can just drop in and buy it like it's a Playstation?

Here in Oklahoma, you can. Still have background checks and such. No registry though. Class 3 rules still apply.

Buds Gun Shop was good when I did it. Got it transferred to me/background check at a local gun shop which was an extra $25. Very painless, Bud's has a list of preferred retailers which made the process very easy.

They stopped selling ARs because they weren't making very much on each sale. They still sell the fuck out of bolt actions, shotguns, and Mini-14s.

When I've bought guns you just have to fill a form with your name and address that take 2 minutes at most. They type it in the computer and hit send. 10 seconds later they get the okay to sell and from there it's like buying a PS4.

Depends what kind of guitar you want. They're kind of like guns or cars that way.

The one I wanted cost $1150 from the factory since it was a limited run and not available used, and it's not even an extra special fancy or vintage thing.
