What's Canada like? I want to move there in the future. I fuckin hate the USA. Seriously, all the politicans are corrupt, they blatantly use opinions over facts, but pass it off as facts. They tear each other up during elections, very uncivilized, they don't even care about the future. We are trying to save the future here, and as we can see, this world is a fuckin shithole. The system is also corrupt, voters dont even show up to vote, which renders the vote fuckin useless so it doesnt get passed or denied, corporations who have no interest in the future only try to benefit theirselves even though it wouldnt matter to them when theyre dead ya know what i'm sayin?
So what's canada like? Is there a mix of all races? Or are they mostly white? Anyone from the US moved there? How was the shift of living environments? Easy to adjust to?

The Canadian government and its various bureaucratic institutions are a hotbed for nepotism and rampant waste.
You pay huge for the services provided in Canada and actually get a fairly shitty product (telecommunications, internet/tv providers, all overpriced and restrict services you can get). The government is totally in league with these cartels and the Canadian people are too stupid/apathetic to vote their way out of it. I work in a bank and have talked to Americans on several occasions about how we operate. Canadians are willing to be gouged in ways most Americans rejected along time ago (transactions fees, fees for index funds, etc.)

South-western Ontarian here.
Essentially, we're America's hat. ~90% of us live within 500km (310.7 miles) of the US border. We have far fewer guns than you guys, and that whole """free healthcare""" meme, but really, I think we just straight up have worse, albeit more accessible, healthcare. My family has never had a proper family doctor, for example.
The government will help pay for cancer treatment and stuff, and there's always the Children's Hospital in Toronto, but really, the healthcare thing is just a meme.
As for criminal stats, we've got 1.4 homicides per 100k people, which is less than half of the States' 3.8 per 100k. If you want other crime stats, feel free to go here:

I don't have much of an exact comparison to work with, as I've never been to any place in Canada that was not in Ontario, and I've only been to New York City and a few places in Ohio when it comes to what I've seen in the US.
As for politics, our government just recently passed Bill C-51, which is basically the Patriot Act, Canadian Edition. /pol/ can say what it wants about Harper and Trudeau, but really, the problem is that the Liberals can't balance a budget.

Remember though, that Canadian Conservatives are blue, Liberals are red, and the NDP (socialists) are orange. The bit of teal in Quebec is the separatist Bloc Quebecois. They've really fallen out of favour and no one cares any more.
As you can see, Alberta and Saskatchewan want their money managed well, so they voted Conservative. A couple of my friends have moved out to Alberta to work in the oil sands.
And whatever you do, don't move to the territories. Everything is expensive and those who don't work for the government don't get housing subsidies, so they can become homeless.

The Wildrose (ultra-conservative) party had the most popular support in polls right now. Everyone outside of Edmonton mostly disapprove of the government's decision to raise corperate, gas and carbon taxes. Unemployment is soaring because oil companies can't start new projects, and are closing down and moving elsewhere. And we're running the largest deficit in decades.
Also means faggot easterners get less equalization payments from us :^)
