Reminder to my fellow danes to vote NO tomorrow. Nothing will be gained by voting yes, we will only lose sovereignty over our own legal system and police.

Denmark has some special agreements with the EU putting us outside their agreements regarding common police, military etc. and also some rules regarding EU laws overruling national laws. The thing is, the danish police already works together with the other EU countries because it's in everybody's interest to catch criminals, but the yes-sayers are saying Denmark will suddenly become a safe haven for pedophiles and terrorists (they think we'll be excluded by the cooperation we're already part of). But the most important thing, and the thing none of the fucking politicians mention, is that if the yes side wins, the danish population will never again have the opportunity to say no thanks to the rules they make in the EU, that authority will be handed over entirely to the elected politicians (most of which are extremely EU-friendly).
tl;dr We're voting on whether or not we should keep our option to say fuck off to the EU or not.

You misunderstand, the ones who lose power are the danish people, not the politicians. We've always voted whether or not we wanted to be part of EU agreements. If we vote yes to this, the politicians can say yes or no without asking the danish population at all.
What I find the most disgusting about all this is how the yes-sayers try to scare people into voting yes.
I mean, a poster advertising voting yes basically says "VOTE YES OR WOMEN AND CHILDREN WILL GET KIDNAPPED, RAPED AND SOLD!!!!!111" while a no poster ranges from "no more EU, more Denmark vote NO k thx" to "a NO vote is a vote for democracy, democracy is good so vote NO"

I honestly think the No parties have been exceptionally bad at explaining the situation, which is why so many people don't know what to vote. I love the arguement from the yes side that we will be "without influence" if we vote no.
I have made a few people change their vote by telling them about the lisbon treaty and how the EU ignored the referendums of France/Netherlands. Also about how our MEPs don't make the laws, just vote for them, and that its the un-elected EU commission making the laws without us having any say in the matter.

Personligt stemmer jeg nej, på grund af at jeg ikke helt stoler på politikerne mere, især når det vedrorer EU.
