Jew Jew Abrams got fucked with the cast. The only one he really wanted was Adam Driver. He was constantly flustered with the girl and screamed at her multiple times to stop being so wooden when she acted.
I don't know about the Didn du, but I have read that they kept rewrites and his input on the script to an minimum because he didn't like the direction they were taking the characters.
