The actual reason is, despite what pol says, Nazism is an incredibly unpopular political ideology in Germany (and the world for that matter) for numerous reasons, pretty much because of the large amounts of damage they caused Germany due to ww2 and the ongoing social and political effects.
Also, we know a lot more today and thus lots of Nazi ideology is completely outdated and some of its core principles would no longer be acceptable today.
So, despite what pol says, Nazism will never rise again anywhere, maybe hard line nationalists will at some stage but even that is pretty unlikely, now is probably the best time since ww2 for nationalists and they still aren't hugely popular.

There's an actual thing here, called entnazifizierung. "denazification". Because you are not allowed to actually think for yourself. There are certain aspects from which you are allowed to choose and those are mostly leftist. If you think outside the spectrum guess what? Off to jail you go.

Because they were subjugated by western democracies and haven't yet have any mental incentive to break through the brainwashing or rebel agianst their masters because they are living in a wealthy country without any physical threats. This has basically made them too docile to do anything. Also in the cold war period the alliances that surrounded them were way too powerful and anti-nationalist for the surviving nazis to try anything
Same is true for almost all other western countries. Only thing that can wake the Germans and every other European up is a massive cultural or economic shock in a short amount of time. Basically this amounts to the refugee crisis getting even worse or a economic crisis happening going along with the refugee crisis.
