Buses are slow as fuck because they have to stop every 100 meters or so to let a bunch of people on and off. Most of the people are elderly and/or disabled so the bus remains stopped for them to get on or off for about five full minutes on average.
This means that I can drive someplace in fifteen minutes but if I took the bus, it'd take about an hour.
Also, even driving in my own car, the bus still slows down traffic because it's so big and so slow and it has to stop again by the time it gets back up to a normal speed.
That's why Americans hate buses.

The public transportation in Chicago is very good. I still don't use it because niggers ruin everything. They overhauled the buses and made them hybrids with and state of the art everything. One month later all the buses are covered in graffiti and trash. The graffiti isn't the removable kind either. When I was going to college from 2010-2014 I lived in a nice college town and took the bus around town and the buses where nice, modern, the drivers where chill as fuck, and the routes were useful.

I have a nigger bus story though - I was riding the Greyhound one time (no shit quicker than flying, not a crackhead I promise) and I was the last one on the bus. I ended up in the seat literally next to the bathroom, in the very back of the bus, crammed in next to a black woman that weighed at least 500 pounds I'm sure. I'm like a 200 pound 5'10" burly guy, maybe a fatty but also an outdoorsman but still, I was shocked. I estimated one of her laigs weighed as much as I did.
Anyhoo, we stopped at McDonalds for a break. I literally ran to the bathroom, took an enormous forced powerdump (couldn't on the bus, black people pee all over the seat) and ran back as fast as I could. I was one of the first ones on BUT...
I chose a totally different seat with no luggage or shit on, under, or above it. I proceeded to put on the headfoams and pretend to read but secretly keep totally alert like a cat.
The bus filled up exactly as before, despite there being no assigned seating on a Greyhound. The last seat available was next to the fatty, in her spot right by the dumper and this Hard Ass Nigga gets on. He was previously, no shit, talking on a cell phone loudly the whole way to the Mickey Deez and sees me in "his" spot.

I have a Rav4 Sport V6 and it makes 310HP with premium fuel. It's the craziest thing and it was way cheaper and more practical than anything else, it's safe and has 8" of ground clearance (more than a standard Jeep) and we are living in a golden age.

2011 was the last year they made the hot one. It had the quickest 0-60 since the Supra went off the market of any Toyota until recently (the new 86).
It's a very practical car. The Sport and the Limited both have the same V6 engine making the same power, but the Limited has a mushy ride and is made for old people. It's also 8" narrower as the Sport has wider wheels and a slightly wider wheelbase.
It doesn't look that sporty either - that's good as it means it's a sleeper. I would confidently race anything in it - most people can't handle their sports cars flat out anyway.

I live in a mountainous area and regularly do all the time. It can't be avoided. Most people can't corner for shit.
Overall the car has a very low center of gravity, as it's not a body on frame. It's only 350 pounds heavier than the 1999 Rav4 we had before, despite having over two and a half times the horsepower.
I have never felt like I would tip the car even at pretty extreme speeds. Around here most people drive pickups or RWD sports cars like Corvettes and Bitchin' Camaros and Mustangs (redneck country) which are all heavier and have a similar power to weight ratio (excepting insane $90k special editions), despite looking lower to the ground and sleeker.
The 2011 model is the only one with the widened wheelbase and which lacks the 70 pound extra tire on the rear. It also has a lighter and more basic interior and a clutchless manual electronic gearbox.

My first one was underpowered and loud, but extremely reliable. I sold it in perfect shape and never had any issues with it.
This newer one's an entirely different vehicle which is faster than fuck, has a nice electronic gearbox, awd / 4wd, traction control that can be turned off thank fuck, and there's just no comparing them.

Joking aside busses suck in germany too - especially in the more rural areas a 5km roundtrip will consists of a 40 min bus trip and 2 hours of waiting.

My sister in law has the Acura Rav4 (RSX? the smaller one) that's a couple years old, the sporty edition (forget what it's called) and it's a similar thing. It's a very nice little ride, I would agree. I'm sure the even newer ones are better. We're Toyota people though.
Still dude your car is 1.5 seconds slower in the 0-60 than my grocery getter Rav4 SUV and like 2.5 seconds slower in the quarter mile. 2011 Rav4 Sport is a rare car and powerful. I researched the shit out of every car on the market and chose it and thank fuck I did (we'd been vacillating for years and almost vacillated again) because they promptly put a 140 HP engine in all the newer Rav4s.
If I buy a four seater sports sedan it will be a nice used Audi S8 or BMW 850Csi.

This car has a low center of weight (most of it is in the engine and the transaxle and axles and stuff which are pretty low) and basically the only driving I do is in the mountains. And of course when we hit a patch of gravel or whatever you're totally fucked.

Well, for a middle school student in the US... if there isn't a designated school bus it means you're either pedaling or revving up those Chevro-legs.
In general though, the buses are really bad. At least where I live, putting aside who you might meet on the bus, they are completely undependable. Maybe the bus shows up 15 minutes late, or you came to the stop 5 minutes early but the bus left 5 minutes ago, or maybe it doesn't show at all. Complete waste of time, you'd be better off walking.
