I mean I think as food shortages happen (it already is to an extent), a return to localism will be necessary to ensure populations stay fed.
That doesn't mean we won't have modern technology present, just some radical shifts from the status quo will happen.
People laugh at those opting out of the rat race to go live on organic farms, but these are the people who will be laying the foundations for what comes after things finally collapse.
I really want to be with those people. Once you see the whole of modern society is a sham that is slowly breaking down, it's really difficult to be motivated to stay in it.

Well the way i see it since we as a species is doing so "well" we are no longer facing basic problems such as survival which in a sense stresses us out. Because then what are we going to do? If basic survival is already taken care of and reproduction isnt necesary either then what are we going to strive for in life?
But thats where I beleive you have to set your own goals in life. Mine could be something as superficial as looking good and being a "nice" person. I think the first step for me was working out as it created almost immediate results and convinced me that hard work actualy does something. So if i can succeed in training and better myself through training why shouldent i be able to better myself in other aspects aswell.

Sure, it's fun to joke about the end of the world, but in all honesty, as dank as the meme is, the world isn't going to end.
What's happening is the slow and painful death of another arch in philosophical thinking. Deconstruction has, and probably will be for the next couple hundred years, been one of the irrevocably most destructive schools of thought to ever hit mainstream media and the public.
It gave us Donald Rumsfield, SJWs, counter-culture brought back from the 70s in a backwards attempt of reliving "glory days" through thrift shopping while giving literally any amount of freedom away in the attempt at security and "rights."
The post-modern world is an egotistical, self-centered one that will eventually bust - that's the true end of the world because it was such a mistake we'll have to go backwards in thought to continue on the path of intellectual progress: modernism.
Argue anything within a modernist perspective and you'll instantly be labled a mysoginist or just someone who is "dated," rather than someone who is actually thinking ahead.
Once this bullshit infant school of thought dies from starving itself, we'll be able to enter the glorious world of systems thinking and globalization, without the fucked nihilist approach of "if we make everyone shit, then we're all equal"
Because of this I'd say it's the oppossite. SJWs want to destroy the world because they feel in their hearts that the world wasn't made for them - and that that is wrong. I'm too worn out to do any changes to my life. I'm the hardest worker you'll ever meet. All of the bosses and customers/patients i've had all like me very much and consider me their favorite because i somehow have a talent for talking and approaching people in a calm, respectable and nice way. Doesn't matter if they have alzheimers or are outraged. I always manage to talk to people on all kinds of different levels.
I'd love to study and travel the world and learn new things. But my life for my 23 so years have been Working>helping out at home>sleeping. I literally have no hobbies or friends. All i do is work and try to save up money so i can eventually buy my own place but the thought of having two houses to take care off scares me so currently i'm just accumulating a small fortune that i'm affraid to spend. I'm living the life of a downshifter. My happines comes from happy parents and patients at the hospital i work at.
It's not so easy to strive for whatever abstract or goal you have in mind when you have to worry about your economic safety.
To state that life is full of freedom and that anyone can become an astronaut is bullshit. Not everyone can be a neet in life.

It certainly is my friend. And i never meant to imply that. A goal in life can be anything. Your goal could be to make your sick parents life easier or be a good nurse or whatever you are.
Or it could be something entirely different in which case you need to do something drastic to change the course of your life. It aint easy, billions of people are stuck in situations like yours.
