Our army just announced to Russia that Turkish army and Russian army should stay in close contact and frequent communication and make sure they do the "necessary things" to avoid future conflicts.
>>56811021
Has fuck all to do with a coup. It has more to do with communication between Russia and NATO.
>>56811450
Coup is still likely.

Hasn't Turkey's army been totally keked by Erdogan? All the senior commanders with any possibility of opposing them were probably removed long ago.
>>56811021
Nice building. Is it in Turkey?
>>56811689
Yeah, it's Mustafa Kemal's tomb in Ankara.
>>56811021

>>56812344
well according to imran hosein, the turkish army will coup soon which will lead to civil war
>>56811021
Why would that imply a coup?
>>56811021
And your next leader will be an even larger USA kek.

>Turkish civil war
>even more refuges coming to the EUSSR
>>56812555
Traditionally the Turkish military views itself as the protector of Ataturk's legacy (secular nationalism based on a European model). They've launched several coups to remove leftist and Islamist parties from gaining power.
The AKP (Erdogan's party) is seen as being ambivalent or even hostile to Turkish secularism.

>>56813104
But if they are capable of doing coups, surely they are the once that has the last say in downing russian airplanes that barely enters airspace?
Would be spectacular drama if they actually did a coup tho
Like dominoes
>>56813104
>secular nationalism based on a European model
no, it's based on Turkic model
fucking retard
>>56811021
It should happen for both Russia's and Turkey's sake.
>>56813294
> posts a map that illustrates my point
> slav logic
>>56811021
That would be a good thing.
The army (historically former janissaries)was what prevented to country to become as radical as Syria and and was the reason Turkey was secular but the EU wanted to stop them from doing politics. They are a religious dictatorship now.
>>56813454
I'm not actually sure if they are capable of launching a coup to be honest or if the Turkish military wants to in the first place. Erdogan did a mini-purge of the military a few years ago and brought in his lackeys.
On the one hand I'm sure there's a lot of officers and generals who are pissed off the Turkish Islamist, but the Turkish military is also hostile to Russia. A conflict or (more likely pissing match) with a traditional rival will probably produce a rally-around-the-flag effect.
>>56813582
No, it's the opposite. Atatürk found mocked Pan-Turkism.
>>56811021
Yes, please. Kebab removing itself would be the best.

Get your finances together and try going to Greece for a bit, they will stay out of the coming war and you'll be safe there.
>>56813582
The Turks didn't really have a strong sense of nationalism until after Ataturk's reforms (hint hint, they were intended to Westernize Turkey).
He used European ideas and models to create the modern Republic of Turkey. Obviously the ethnic group itself was Turkish, I never suggested anything otherwise.
Jesus Sven, learn to fucking read.
>>56811021
bullshit. just a phony excuse to defend ISIS behind closed doors
i dont think there should be any cooperation with Turks. they dont have the guts to start WW3, they're just NATO lapdogs but i dare you to close the gate to mediterranean and you will turn into nuclear wasteland Russia has nothing to lose
hope you all fucking die NATO fags
>>56811021
Don't get my hopes up..
>>56814169
Whole region didn't have nationalism, Turks especially even less. With all that talk about Ottomans being intolerant to others we sure did give lots of local Christians to Greece. Nationalism literally fucked Ottoman and Turks up and it was the only way to unite after WW1 for most countries. I wish we still had that mixed society but European ideals were enough to divide empires like Ottomans.
Most of our ideas were based on French if I remember correctly.
>>56811021
>military-to-military contacts for the purpose of deconfliction suggests impending coup
sorry, but no
this is totally normal even between enemies.
for example US and Iran have had such contacts since 2001 when we went into Afghanistan
it is necessary to avoid miscalculations
>>56812584
Here we go again, rapists gonna rape.
>>56814524
Well you guys did genocide the shit out of several of your minorities. Not that Americans are on some moral high ground though.
I thought the Ottomans essentially collapsed after the First World War, and Ataturk is basically the reason a large, independent Turkey is an actual thing. Or are you talking about nationalism in the Balkans?
>>56814881
I was agreeing with you on Ottoman Turks not having strong sense of nationalism until Ataturk.
>>56813690
Retardness is strong with this one..
>>56815021
Gotcha
