Free healthcare fixes the bloated healthcare system, it saves money and thousands of lives per year.

Free college creates more employable people, infrastructure spending creates jobs, $15/hour minimum wage ensures that people with jobs can afford to live above the poverty line.

Breaking up big banks prevents future economic catastrophes, legalizing marijuana saves on policing and jailing costs.

All these combined will create a prosperous scenario for America. Tell me one single flaw in Bernie's plan.

>Free college creates more employable people
The problem is too many educated people in niche films with not enough jobs. Creating more people with liberal arts degrees does nothing but hurt the economy. Rest of your post isn't even worth responding too.

It is the opposite

The infrastructure is fine, the only places with infrastructure problems have local governments who created those problems.

Nothing would have happened even if they weren't bailed out

You do know its not free. You pay increased taxes. If you are including schools and other welfare your tax would end up like swedens are 30-40%. You would have barely enough money to pay for food and accommodation. Saving for a house would take decades. It effectively keeps more people poor despite their qualifications.

Many Americans spend more on healthcare than they do on taxes. It's a bloated, ineffectual system that costs money and costs lives. It's easier to save for a house when you're not bankrupt from medical costs.

Why in the fuck do millenials think *free college is a good idea? Do they not think ahead? This means that they go to college and get a good job, and then they are stuck paying for a bunch of snot-nosed punks lesbian arts degrees for the rest of their lives. If they actually make it in the world and get a high paying job, the cost of college would actually be higher for them in the long-run.

Get the government entirely out of the higher education system, it's not efficient, and any institution with government funding just rapes our tax dollars without discretion.

Which is an investment for the whole nation, which will help your families succeed and improve the communities you live in.

You also have to remember that you aren't immune from bankruptcy as a result of the current healthcare system in the US, most of the people that file for bankruptcy for healthcare related reasons are middle class people with stable incomes and insurance.
>>
>>56808099
That is the issue. There simply are too little jobs for too many people, no matter how educated. All that free tuition would do is cause grade inflation on a corporate scale.
>>
>>56814363
The UK has a nationalised, free on use healthcare system. Despite this the government spends less per capita on healthcare than the US.

Yep, despite people in the US having to pay for insurance themselves, their government STILL pays more than the UK. Insane really.

The US spends 17.1% of their entire GDP on healthcare, the UK spends 9.2%.

According to the WHO the United States had the fourth highest level of government health care spending per capita ($3,426) - The UK government spends less at £2129 ($3214) per capita despite it being free at the point of delivery.

The laws of supply and demand apply to people too, you know. A four-year degree is not some magic ticket to success,. and neither is lacking one a damnation to poverty. There are tons of middle class jobs which require only a trade school or apprenticeship.

By the way, I'm 100% behind free trade schools, but fuck free universities.
>>
>>56815345
>Because no competition makes sure prices go down.

I'd argue this differently, I previously made a comment stating how the US's per capita government spending on healthcare is higher than the UK despite them not having free at the point of use healthcare.

So it's already more expensive without factoring in insurance, extra costs etc.

Think of it this way:
You are negotiating the cost of a drug from a pharmaceutical company, if you are in the US as an insurance company you may have a few hundred thousand to a few million customers. You may be able to get some bulk discount however this will be insignificant, as if you were to walk away from the purchase the pharmaceutical company wouldn't really be damaged by it. They still have many other potential companies to sell to.

Comparatively, if the NHS goes to a pharmaceutical company they are bargaining on behalf of 64 million customers. The NHS can effectively dictate the price that they will buy the drug for as if the pharmaceutical company chooses to say no, then they miss out on the entirety of the UK as a customer.

This extra bargaining power allows the NHS to get drugs and equipment and other facilities for much cheaper.
>>
>>56815397
Not particularly true, our healthcare system was working fine when it was properly funded under the Labour government. The entire situation is being orchestrated by the conservative government to portray the NHS as unreliable to pave the way for privatisation.

The NHS funding has increased, but not relative to the growth in population, inflation and other increased expenses.

The NHS fails when the government wants it to fail, Thatcher made waiting times for critical operations go through the roof (months) due to continued lack of investment.

The issue with conservatism in the UK is that it always fails to invest in the future, thinking that somehow the free market will build the roads, schools, energy infrastructure, and healthcare that it generally fails to end up doing. This is usually what ends up in the Conservatives being voted out.
>>

>OK, but you're wrong about everything.

What all our Eurofriends fail to understand is that the cost of healthcare is much higher in the US than is typical in other countries, and Libtards just want Uncle Sam to foot the bill anyway instead of fixing the fucking price point problem in the first place. Free healthcare in the USA would be like hiding mildew with a carpet. The smell goes away but in 20 years your house is fucked.

Nationalized healthcare is incredibly unconstitutional, Bernie is brain dead to think he can a. campaign on it or b. if elected ever pass it through congress/senate/supreme court.

Treat healthcare like the commodity it is and you'll see prices drop, when prices drop insurance rates will too.

>Free healthcare fixes the bloated healthcare system, it saves money and thousands of lives per year.
It ain't free. The cost is just hidden. It will either continue to cost the same or become more expensive due to increase bureaucracy, in which case quality will decline in least necessary areas such as cancer related treatments.

>Free college creates more employable people, infrastructure spending creates jobs, $15/hour minimum wage ensures that people with jobs can afford to live above the poverty line.
It devalues college education and increases the time taken for someone to become a productive member of society. Highschool education is completely worthless in USA, which is why everyone goes to college to get a bullshit degree just so they can flip burgers or clean the toilets in McD. Even though even a retard without education could do that job.
What a joke. People seriously pay like 40k bucks or whatever to get a degree in gender studies in America. What the fuck?

15 dollars minimum wage is barrier to entry. You must really hate people who are worth less than 15 dollars a hour. (the niggers).

but the people who get education in the niche liberal arts degrees end up with some of the best jobs either because of nepotism and connections, or due to raw work ethic. why get a degree in computer science when you can get a degree in philosophy, and still get a better job offer?

the problems is middle/working class kids thought that they could study bullshit degrees and still do well. college was never about education. it was about status. too many people entered a market that wasn't fit for them, and now they are riddled with debt and have no viable skill set and no connections.
>>
>>56815397
Not true Anon.

They are only going on strike because the government wants to cut the NHS and don't care about it.

The main reason for the strike is explicitly because the health secretary is such a wanker and wont negotiate with them.

Though it is a ball-breaker of a job, but it's something a lot of people aspire to be anyway as it's a good thing to do regardless of pay.

What is up with the Bernie hate?
Education would be paid for through the "Robin Hood Tax Act" >http://www.robinhoodtax.org/news/blog/sen-bernie-sanders-officially-introduces-robin-hood-tax-act
Healthcare would be paid for by a tax increase. But this tax increase will be less than the amount the average citizen pays per capita for healthcare. Leading to more money in peoples pockets in the end. Also this will motivate people to go to the doctor more for preventive reasons lowering the amount of ER visits thus lowering the amount of medicaid the government pays.
