Can we talk about healthcare? I personally lean more right than left, but as a middle class person paying out the ass for insurance, there is a better way. I very strongly believe in unversal (yes socialist) healthcare. I realize this is antithetical to some american beliefs (as an american. I agree obamacare is an absolute disaster and needs to end immediately. But from what I have seen posted, a universal approach actually ends up saving money in the grand scheme. (although you will be creating a more powerful government entity which is a legit argument). sadly the major argument that fools tend to profess is not this but the idea that it raises taxes. Well Teddy, Woodrow, and FDR built modern american and they did it with a certain amount of understanding that some things would be for the greater good. You greedy bitches complaining that an extra c note gets taken for tax so that the health of america remains competitive and not just for the ultra rich are disgusting. ( and you retards are paying more for half ass 'insurance'). Most bankruptcies are destroyed, middle class who cant pay medical bills. The right loves to prop up bloated industries and banks, which is a far more severe form of redistributing wealth. They do this in the name of preserving 'jobs' with no public oversight. The biggest loser for oversight and provision of the Healthcare industry is big pharma. Universal Healthcare would require a significant reform of lobbying for this reason.

You'll be paying the same, but into a pool as opposed to your own insurance. But, I assume you take better care of your health than the lower class elements. So you'll be paying a little bit more. And government-run systems often (but not exclusively) remove incentive from efficiency, so some of your money will be wasted on beurocratic crap that a private system does better. The only advantage (other than giving poor people healthcare) is having a mandate to pass and enforce health-promoting regulations, if you are into that sort of thing, in an attempt to curb costs of the whole system downstream. If you're middle class there is no financial benefit to you, or direct quality of healthcare benefit.

Some things that could be done are to allow pharmacists and lower level medical staff to prescribe some drugs but not all to treat cold and flu and injuries
The medical backbone is usually bogged downed by minor health issues that ruins the efficiency of the system and skyrockets the cost (i.e: niggers at chucky cheese calling a $300k ambulance for drunk fist fights and minor bruises)
Also have a fat tax, the fatter you are, the more you pay
And mandatory fitness/military boot camp for every middle schoolers and high school, will prepare kids with physical health and give them a primer on military life if they decide to enlist after highschool, it would be great if they provide a little bit of technical job training as well to prepare for the Great economic age of trumps make America great again high tech manufacturing industries and infrastructure real estates

My father was a paramedic and insurance aside (which can become part of the state) the cost is negligable when not inflated. As an aside, that sort of system rocks. A full-on socialist level public healthcare system, but shit quality, so it's inexpensive to the taxpayer, and keeps people motivated to buy their own insurance. Keeps a decent safety net for those who fuck up with insurance.
First step would be to fix shit that keeps medical prices bloated (restrictions on pharmaceutical and med tech imports for example).
