The thing is, these average IQ fellows have an inferiority complex about not being smart so they try to compensate for it by pretending to be """intellectual""" but in reality they just make """intellectuals""" look bad. There is never discussion about concepts on /lit/, only individuals who discuss concepts.

The biases come from:
- using examples that are culturally familiar in problem solving, e.g. if train a is going at 10 miles an hour and train b is going at 20 miles an hour and they start 100 miles apart (with a starting first), how long until train b overtakes train a? A question like this isn't answered as well by people who might've grown up in a cultural situation without trains.
- students who spend years and years studying a particular style of abstract problem solving using a particular kind of language will do better in IQ tests than students who grow up with practical problem solving. IQ tests are biased towards abstraction in education, which is a feature of much Western schooling.
You can read massive piles of stuff that's been published on the biases in IQ. It's not a great measure of intelligence or a good predictor of performance in complex situations.

I know you're throwing out a meme, but I've met Judith Butler and taken classes with her. She's one of the most massively informed and seriously reflective people I've ever come across in the world. She's really exceptional. Try reading her first book on Hegel if you have any doubt about this.
And even if you disagree with Krugman, you have to give him credit that he's a very good writer, a professor at Princeton, and one of the stars of his research field (you don't get a Nobel Prize for being a dumbass).
