If Turkey fired the missiles that shot down the Russian airplane WHILE the Su-24 was in Turkish airspace I think it's fully justified.

Doesn't matter where the plane was heading.

I am not a fan of Turkey in the slightest, but when someone crosses your border you are fully in your right to respond.

/pol/ is just full of brain damaged fanboys that are unable to do basic reasoning.

RESPECTING SOVEREIGN BORDER IS EXACTLY WHAT /POL/ IS CALLING FOR IN EUROPE.

They even call for shooting on sight unarmed invaders.

But suddenly when it's Russia violating a border their inner fanboy-ism wakes up and rationality shuts the fuck down.

As I said I am not a fan of Turkey, I support Russia over Turkey, not because I am lying to myself though, but because Erdogan is an enemy of me.
>>

>Nato regulations say that we are to escort foreign jets out, not shoot them down.

That's what we do to the russian planes that come over here.

>I'm not going to object...

No one asked what you would personally do.

>Its flat out against the laws of NATO to fire on a plane leaving your airspace

So it's fine to fly into someones airspace illegally all the time as long as I turn around in time?

This was hardly the first time Russia violated Turkish airspace. I am sure you would be a lot more pissed if the US allowed Russian planes to do fly by over your border.

Hell the US even considers the air above it's carrier groups as US airspace.

This is bullshit. You cannot claim Russia was not in the wrong when they repeatedly violate Turkish airspace.

Turkey is much more in the wrong when violating Greek airspace as well, and I think Greece would be 100% justified to shoot down Turkish planes that violate their airspace.

Suddely /pol/ turked pacifist... lol

it's okkk to violate borders multiple times with war planes... and continue doing so even when asked and warned to stop.

Yes and no. His campaign against the Kurdish rebels was a clever move and he stole nationalist votes with that.

But the last election showed a huge influx of AKP voters registered in voting regions who were not present at the previous election. Some may call it due to holiday season, but the greatest non-voters in holiday times are seculars at their summer houses.

tl;dr Erdo threatened to burn Turkey down and the elites caved in. Now he's playing the same strategy in foreign matters which will result in our glassing. What a brilliant mind.

>Self hating T*rks are even worse than regular Trks
I'd rather have T*rks suck on Ataturk's Jew dick than Mohammad's dick.

The action was the last gasp of Turkish foreign policy in Syria.

Russia has been increasingly countering and mitigating almost everything Turkey has been doing with their relationship with Kurdish groups, funding ISIS and their general opposition (at all costs) to Assad.

Turkey, along with the Saudis, desperately want Assad gone and to win influence in the area. Russia has now essentially ensured neither of those things will happen, and they're butthurt.

Shooting down the Russian jet is really only evidence that Erdogan's policies are now failing and he'll face domestic criticism. Nothing like shifting the blame, eh?

How dare you post anything that might offend Erdogan, I'll be sure to report it to the police!

What's the mood like in turkey? Are people supportive of him? Could there be protests against him?
And what's happening with those two MPs who said turkey supplied sarin gas?

Why are the generals terrified of Turks?
Why do they so casually disobey orders?
