He wasn't stupid and it's worth reading his thoughts. There's a reason he is still highly sought after for advice by world leaders.
A true genius. There is an excellent documentary on him on Netflix, called "Kissinger"
it is features archival footage accompanied by his answers to questions put to him.
Incredible guy really. Escaped Nazi Germany, came to America, went into the army and went back to Germany in army intelligence. Saw a lot of horrible stuff and decided to go to school to become a pllitical scientist and diplomat to try and prrvent future genocides.

discusses the different formulations of international order that have existed in different parts of the world since ancient times like post-westphalia europe, china-centric asia, islamic caliphate, etc.
pretty good actually. not at all like a tinfoiler would judge from the cover.
I thought the most interesting chapter was the one on India where he talks about how it has been historically fractured like Europe into smallish states and introduces an Indian text on statecraft that is one of the most redpilled realpolitik documents in history, described as "radical machiavellianism 1700 years before machiavelli"
