I read something the other day of some liberal news site saying Trump was an embarrassment to the country because "he represents a past we have moved on from".

It's not a problem. It generates tax revenue = stimulates the economy. There's an entire argument as to why it doesn't have a negative effect on the general population and how it actually benefits it.
I can't think of many problems with his Tax Reform, 2nd Amendment, and other policies. I think he would be a solid president nationally. However, I worry about him in foreign affairs. I doubt he'll be able to get Mexico to build a wall, and his tough guy persona will rub other world leaders the wrong way. If he would chill out and quit saying so much dumb shit, I think he could take some left votes who don't want to vote for Shillary.

The absolute most he could is not be able to remove all the loopholes in our tax system. So all of the tax cuts he's planning on implement would be for nothing. But that isn't the case.
Large corporations use loopholes to get away from paying millions of dollars in taxes. Before, instead of closing those loopholes, people just raised taxes. Then the corporations just used more loopholes. And they continued to raise taxes. They raised taxes until it's almost 40% federal taxes for the large corporations. So his plan is that if we can just go back to how everything was in the past, lower taxes and less loopholes. We can invite more businesses to come to America and set up shop.
I'm not sure if he did the math and if he'll actually get away with cutting off 15% by closing loopholes. But he's been doing the same exact thing in the past. So I'm sure he knows from proper experience
Also his proposed policy to get companies to stop outsourcing jobs and such seem really good too.

The nominal corporate tax rate is 13%. If he's actually able to get his business tax plan pushed through, it would raise tax revenue. Likewise the richest tax bracket is nominally 22%, so a 25% tax bracket would be an increase. The problem I foresee is the same Reagan faced.
