Nope. Against regulations. The Turks do the same shit to Greece every day, and nobody has ever shot them down. Even their own military officials are saying it was a stupid mistake.

The Turks literally broke NATO ROE. This is more like if you saw a nigger step on a crack on the opposite side of the sidewalk and shot him for trying to break your mother's back.

Russia purposely violated Turkey's airspace, you can't say that they couldn't have taken any other route. They did it because they wanted to show Turkey what they can do. They honestly thought Turkey wouldn't do anything

Also Russia was bombing Turkmen soldiers. The plane was flying through an area which was contested between rebels and Assad, ISIS was no where near the area

Non-hostile countries do it, but Russia is actually bombing Turkish backed anti-Assad groups, like the Turkmen rebels (that are also fighting ISIS)

Do you guys not understand that Turks have actually died fighting ISIS, and Turkish war planes have actually bombed ISIS positions?
It is true some corrupt Turkish businessmen are buying oil from ISIS, but some corrupt Syrian officials on Assad's side have also bought shit from ISIS

Stop with this meme that Russia is in Syria to fight ISIS, Russia is in Syria to support there man Assad, and maintain their naval base in Latakia. Russia has bombed Syrian rebels, that are also fighting ISIS, to the point that it actually helped ISIS, (before Russia then bombed ISIS too)
>>
>>56759390
The Turks are also bombing the Kurds, and the Kurds I think are returning that politeness.
Basically everyone is using ISIS as an excuse to kill each other.
Should be two options, nuke/carpet bomb ISIS's territory and force a truce on the retards that should be fighting them, or let them all kill each other, don't give any international support at all, also stop the flow of refugees, sad as it is, if they do not want to fight for their homes and lives, they'll have to live with what they have. the Iraqi army already showed they couldn't handle a 40:1 battle in their favor.

Turkey violated Greek airspace 2,244 times last year. Two thousand two hundred and forty four times. Turkey. A country that occupied Greece for over 400 years. Violated Greek airspace 2,244 times in one year. There were hundreds of dogfights. But not one of their planes was shot down. And none of their pilots were turkey-shot as they parachuted out of their burning planes. Just to put this in perspective.

Daily reminder

Mr Erdogan spoke of Turkey's "rage" at the decision to shoot down the F-4 Phantom on 22 June and described Syria as a "clear and present threat".

"A short-term border violation can never be a pretext for an attack," he said. The Turkish jet was on a training flight, testing Turkey's radars in the eastern Mediterranean, he said.

https://www.rt.com/news/323431-saved-pilot-turkish-su24/

“It’s impossible that we violated their airspace even for a second,” Konstantin Murakhtin told RT and other Russian media. “We were flying at an altitude of 6,000 meters in completely clear weather, and I had total control of our flight path throughout.”

As well as denying Ankara’s assertions that the plane was in Turkey’s airspace, Murakhtin, who says he knows the mission area "like the back of my hand," also refuted Turkish officials’ claims that the pilots were warned repeatedly.

“In actual fact, there were no warnings at all. Neither through the radio, nor visually, so we did not at any point adjust our course. You need to understand the difference in speed between a tactical bomber like a Su-24, and that of the F16. If they wanted to warn us, they could have sat on our wing,” said Murakhtin, who is currently recuperating at Russia’s airbase in Latakia, northern Syria.

“As it was, the missile hit the back of our plane out of nowhere. We didn’t even have time to make an evasive maneuver.”

>The Turks do the same shit to Greece every day, and nobody has ever shot them down.
This argument is turning into a meme. It's not even comparable.

First of all, Greece and Turkey are actually on good terms. Secondly, Turkish jets to 'violate' Greek airspace, but so do the Greeks.

Greece declares that 6nm of its coastline is sovereign territory... but for airspace they have a 10nm claim. Turkey recognizes the 6nm claim for both sea and airspace, but not the 10nm claim, leaving this 'disputed' 4nm belt.

When Turkish jets enter than 4nm belt, Greece issues them warnings over the radio... maybe dispatch some jets if there are jets close by. All while this is happening, there is FULL communication between the two sides over radio. When Turkish jets leave that 4nm zone, both sides, and I kid you not, bid each other "have a good day" or something along those lines.

Turkey and Greece are literally have some fucking friendly bantz.

As for the Russian jet, it's an entirely different scenario.

Turkey actively monitors jets close to the Turkish-Syrian border because well... Syria is a warzone.

The day the Russian jet was shot down, it was issued ten warnings to change bearing south so they wouldn't violate airspace. They were totally ignored, the at the time unidentified jets did not bother to respond, identify themselves, or state intentions. Then these unidentified jets (There were two) violated Turkish airspace, but they were not shot down. And then they violated airspace again, they were shot down.

Every country would have shot down a warplane that's fucking around the border and violating airspace multiple times

1) Not identifying self
2) Not stating intentions
3) Ignoring all warnings

>The Turks literally broke NATO ROE
It's funny because the SecGen disagrees with you

>You just don't shoot down an aircraft because it entered your airspace for 15 seconds.

Given the circumstances, yes you definitely can.

As I said, that Russian jet never bothered to identify itself or state its intentions.

From Turkey's perspective at the time, they were looking at an warplane that refuses to identify itself crossing into its airspace. That can be reasonably considered a threat.

My guess is after the jet violated the airspace for the first time, they let it slip, giving the benefit of the doubt and assuming it was a mistake.

But after the jet violated the airspace a second time (And note, this WARPLANE still hasn't bothered to respond to any of the warnings) they took it as a more serious threat and shot it down, well within their rights... as confirmed by the SecGen of NATO itself.

It's not difficult to understand.
You warn aircraft before they enter your airspace.

When Russian jets have historically 'violated' American or British airspace, they have never violated sovereign airspace, only buffer airspace. Usually known as ADIZ.

It's basically a way of saying "if you have no good reason to be here fuck off before you violate our sovereign airspace'

They have in this case violated sovereign Turkish airspace.

>>56771902
I agree it's needless tension. But I can definitely see why Turkey shot down that Russian jet. Every American, Russian, British, French, German commander would have reacted the same I have no doubt.

>SU-24 supposedly entered t*rk airspace for 17 seconds
>within this timeframe the turkish military warned the SU-24 ten times, before the turk president personally ordered the aircraft to be shotdown (again, this apparently all happened within 17 seconds)
and lets ignore the fact that the aircraft was shotdown and crashed within the Syrian border.

right, that's why he was already in Syrian airspace when you hit him.

Shitskins don't have "sovereign airspace"

"Turkey" is just occupied Greek territory and one day those filthy muds will get what's coming to them when they all die.

5 minutes translates to approx 200km-300km at a bit less than Mach1 at 16K feet alt.

So what you're saying is that turkadurkas started issuing warnings when the Russians came 200km close to their borders?

Fucking idiots.

>>56772339
this actually explains why turks shot down the plane.

He doesn't give a single fuck about Turks. MHP had a chanche on last elections but they blew it, those Grey Wolves are literally MHP's armed extension. I fucking hate those fuckers at least I know that Erdoğan is insane and nobody around him critiques what he does. Those nationalist fucks should've known better and formed a coalition with CHP.

Are you honestly trying your best to convince me that Greeks are stupid?

I'm just joking, I won't judge the whole of Greece because of you :')

Anyways who said the jet was just flying straight?

>What is a holding pattern

The unidentified jet was circling around close to the border for five minutes, as clearly shown in the radar information.

Man, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that maybe the jet was like... circling around?

Ever since the Syria shot down Turkey's jet in 2012 they changed their RoE. Turkey now issues warnings to all aircraft that are within 5km of their airspace.

More like

>neighbourhood watchman is chasing gangbangers
>as he's turning the corner he takes two steps on another nigger's yard
>that nigger runs up behind him (after he's already back on the sidewalk) and sucker punches him yelling "get off my property"
>then the nigger's gangbanger friends come and kick the downed man in the head, killing him,
>they proceed shoot the ambulance.
>>
>>56773113
and that nigger thinks that the sidewalk is part of his yard
>>
>>56773025
>Turkey changed their ROE in 2012
Turkey is obligated to follow NATO ROE so that those dumb fucking sandniggers don't drag the western world into a war with Russia.
>>
>>56773025
Even if they started issuing warnings to them when they were 5km close to turka borders, that's 10-15 seconds at most.
How the fuck can they issue 10 warnings in 5 minutes?

10 warnings in 5 minutes will be the new 6 gorrillion meme.

>The unidentified jet was circling around

Nope.
>>
>>56773774
>what is travelling a few degrees away from parallel with a border
greeks, everyone
>>
>>56773891
parallel in a circle?
>>
>>56757007
Turks where right to shoot it down.
Nato airspace is nato airspace.

We dont talk here about russia a frendly nation but russia the enemy.

Remember they broke contact with NATO they broke all international law with invading ukr. They lost all credibilety with braking there own contracts with ukr.

Its better to shoot then take any chances with this liers.
>>
>>56773891
Oh so now it was traveling parallel not circling in a holding pattern...get back to us when you got your shit straight you dumb sandnigger.
>>
>>56773307
>Turkey is obligated to follow NATO ROE

I guess there's no problem because the SecGen of NATO said Turkey is right?
>>
I gotta go with Turkey on this. Don't really care about their reasons. I relate to the house reference, it's their territory. It'd be like someone walking on your lawn(Which I know doesn't piss everyone off, but it does some). Obviously, you wouldn't shoot them right off, but if someone decides to do it anyway and hey, maybe they're threatening, maybe the got a knife, maybe I put a bullet in them.

Just sayin. My space. Fuck off.
>>
>>56773774

>>The unidentified jet was circling around
>Nope.

Christ just look at the radar information release.

>How the fuck can they issue 10 warnings in 5 minutes?

idk. send two 10-20 second long warnings over a period of five minutes?

doesn't take a genius.

Plus American pilots and a commercial pilot in the vicinity confirmed that Turkey issued those warnings. It was broadcast over GUARD (Emergency frequency) which every aircraft is suppose to monitor. So a military aircraft and a commercial aircraft picked up the warnings.
>>
>>56774390

>idk. send two 10-20 second long warnings over a period of five minutes?
