Why is people calling Donald Trump a fascist? Is he really one?
>>
Yea, probably.
>>
Because they're scared and they can't think of any effective way to defeat him, so they're desperately lashing out now.

It won't work. Everybody knows the media are nothing but lying rats.

He's a nationalist.

He's a nationalist who takes queues from the uncle himself, whom he used to read nightly.

Most likely because he has a few ideas beyong waving is hands and pleas.

People from history you call heroes would be called fascists as well, nowadays.

He's a nationalist. He hasn't really said anything fascist. But for the left, words mean whatever you want, so as long as they can call him a Nazi in some way, they will.

The problem for them, of course, is that we are beset with Jihadis, SJW and Jewry and niggerdry of the highest order on all fronts, and degeneracy everywhere.

And its just been long enough that people are naturally rethinking why exactly that should even be a slur.
>>
>>56747830
He's actually a complete kikester in private. Trump is a businessman. He does not really care for your color or ethnicity. I don't mind that at all. All politicians lie. I just want him to destroy PC culture.

Donald Trump is not a fascist. He's not even THAT right-wing, he only appears to be because there really aren't any hardcore rightist politicians in the western world these days.

They've use the 'Trumps a racist' card enough, now they are going for 'Trumps and idiot no muslims were celebrating' next they will probably go for homophobe/ pedophile or something alone those lines.

Might just keep pushing the Trump=Nazi angle. Its a fairly effective shut down tactic.

Robert Paxton's "mobilizing passions" of fascism

>a sense of overwhelming crisis beyond the reach of any traditional solutions
>the primacy of the group, toward which one has duties superior to every right, whether individual or universal, and the subordination of the individual to it
>the belief that one's group is a victim, a sentiment that justifies any action, without legal or moral limits, against its enemies, both internal and external
>dread of the group's decline under the corrosive effects of individualistic liberalism, class conflict, and alien influences
>the need for closer integration of a purer community, by consent if possible, or by exclusionary violence if necessary
>the need for authority by natural chiefs (always male), culminating in a national chieftain who alone is capable of incarnating the group's historical destiny
>the superiority of the leader's instincts over abstract and universal reason
>the beauty of violence and the efficacy of will, when they are devoted to the group's success
>the right of the chosen people to dominate others without restraint from any kind of human or divine law, right being decided by the sole criterion of the group's prowess within a Darwinian struggle

Yeah, Trump's probably a fascist.

>nativist

Isn't 'nativist' the opprobrious hateful bigoted madness of radically supposing that the needs of your own countrymen might be more important than that of foreigners?

The left have driven this country so insane that during an election for the chief executive of the United States of America, the most pitched divisions and controversies aren't over domestic infrastructure, taxes, education and the mechanisms of the economy.

Instead, the flashpoint divisions in this election are what to do with Syrians, what to do with Mexicans and whether we should take either Israel or Iran to the prom.

This is madness. We have internationalized our election. We have no oxygen for domestic policy discussion because the left has cornered the electorate into thinking they might be bigots for daring to put the country and its citizens first in its own fucking election.

An authoritarian is not necessarily a fascist. Technically, we don't even know if he is authoritarian yet. He is just a strong speaker so far.

The word 'fascism' has been so loaded up and redefined just so people have a synonym for 'nazi' as a slur. It originally, for purposes of adult discussions past, was a government attitude towards economics regarding control. Just as people have confused and confounded communism, socialism and liberalism and progressivism.

He has alluded to using government authority to motivate large corporations in the direction he feels is best for the nation. But he suggests it would be through deal making and leverage, not government fiat.

So I dont think he can be called a fascist. A nationalist, definitely, which is sort of like 'nativist' being used as a slur, as it continues to be a thought crime to place the welfare of your own nation over illegal foreign resident, foreign displaced and the military wish-lists of foreign countries.

The first two are showing the fasces emblem in the US House of Representatives.

The first shows the fasces as symbols, typically imply strength through unity, and as been adopted by several political cultures over the centuries, most contemporarily, the 'fascists', specifically the National Socialist Party of Germany c. 1933-1945, who were actually fascists; its a matter of debate whether they also were legitimate socialists.

>>56750145

Thanks, I appreciate that.

The second shows the same fasces motif sculpted into the wood work of the dais.

The third shows the former salute used during the pledge of allegiance to the American flag. It, as well as the pledge and its meaning have changed over the years.

I can't help but notice the wiki page on what fascism is is not only completely of the subject of the putative page, but seems to be under an edit war.

Just look at all these edits in the last week.

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Fascism&action=history

The page appears to be worthless. Its just an argument being carried out in edits. My first page of results returned nothing either specific nor fact based about the term fascism. Most were just vagaries or moronic conflations with other Nazi themes that had nothing to do with actual fascism.

I dont know. I guess I should see if there is a unbiased page anywhere that actually discusses fascism other than some sort of re-imagining of terms. We really are losing the language. Anything means anything anymore.

Everyone seems to be confusing it with nationalism, nationalism with German national socialism, and every 'bad guy' term ever invented; dictators, authoritarian.

It would be the same if in 50 years someone tried defining Libertarianism based on the opinions of Bill Maher or drawing the definition of sovereignty from Lincoln.

I find most people dont know that Russia never actually practiced real communism. They and Cuba used it as cover for power and had a loose, deranged system of welfare that could almost be called a bastardized version of socialism, but they never actually went full commie.

Of all the countrys that claimed to believe in communism, the only ones to try to make that leap was China during the Cultural Revolution, and it was a horrific disaster and atrocity they resulted in famines that killed millions because of communism's meddling with distribution in the attempt to eliminate distinction between city and country.

Everyone else just used 'communism' to justify power or allegiances. Only one seems to have actually tried it, China.

The best part about Trump is that unlike the krautshits, America won't lose.
>>
Republican Neocons are pseudo-fascist, it's true

They aren't really in favor of small government, witness the growth of government programs and military especially

Fascism often had racist elements and there's no doubt that Trump and Republicans play up racial fears for political power

They are highly militaristic and imperialistic

they dont' follow the rule of law (witness widespread torture and warrantless surveillance)

I think its more accurate to say that the last regime to practice fascism also practiced ethnocentrism. I no longer know how to use the word racism because the sorcerers of our language of currency keeps changing the definition to mean anything, like they do with gender issues (which itself is a misuse of the term).

I was raised to believe it was the irrational fear or hatred of another ethnic group distinguished by physiological, genetically clustered traits, or race.

Later it seemed to imply white supremacy in deed over specifically blacks, or used to imply innate racial superiority.

Later, it seemed to also include racial separatists. Then it became about anyone who rejected government engineered multiculturalism in the true, older sense of term, which now means something else entirely.

As time went by, it also was used as an outright slur in place of general bigotry, to indict real concern over racially disparate social phenomenon. If you remarked that there was distinct differences in social ability between races as demonstrated, you were called racist as a slur rather than any particular ideology.

Now, stating a racial preference in a dating app is considered racist, as in bigotry.

The term is predictably imploding; you cant keep broadening a definition, like marriage, gender or homosexual and expect it to keep meaning anything. "Rape" is probably one of the most bastardized terms. It originally meant kidnapping a woman with forced sex implied; now it can mean anything, especially as metaphor.

Thus the need for the term 'nativist'. I suspect it emanates from the fact that the left is hedging its bets against the contradiction of calling Mestizos 'white hispanics' and yet how to call whites who distinguish white from mestizo as racists; its a paradox in need of new definitions, since whites cant presumably be racist towards other 'whites'.

... Its only going to get worse, as the term racist implodes, blacks will be forced to discern between what is simply black and what is the new leftist 'black identity'. When you start really drilling down into racial identity, especially among non-whites, you can end up with a real mess, just like trying to define the different sexual identities for what they actually mean.
