I've met plenty of young adults over the years and if you'd present me with a group that consists of todays young adults and the young adults back then I only could tell them apart because of their clothing and maybe the slang they use. Bro I'd loveee too do that but I haven't even been accepted into groups like Ordo Templi Orientis yet and I don't find myself ready enough to even attempt it . It's a journey you start off by yourself, you learn through intuition read Manly P Halls Secret Teachings of ages,(very, very VERY beginner book) try to enter the mindset of traditions he records(take it with a grain of salt and slowly don't want you going schizoid) then pick a mystic religion to study.
A lot of people go far Taoism, simplified Kabbalah in a way, although that's playing it off as something inferior. Neidan or internal alchemy is a good way to get yourself centered and dare I say "magically capable" of understanding yourself.
Kabbalah is connected to Christianity and Judaism, more or less Islam but their mysticism is called Sufism.... If you like dancning Sufism is the way to go all three of those traditions center around Divine names of God, or the aspects of God. , (another plus, orthodox Muslims generally hate sufis)
Kabbalah centers around sephiroth, or spheres of creation, the Left and right are imbalances (think of politics, the U.S.A's democrats and republicans are great examples of those two extremes) and the Moderate (or center balance) is a reflection of the two extremes. That's where you want to be , well where I want to be. You can go left, right middle, it's your choice. people are unconsciously comittinf themselves to these "¡paths" it's best to know where you are going.
