If Scotland ever got independence, then I imagine it would be up for discussion (and actual discussions this time instead of all the terrorist attacks)

Thing is, it would be a split opinion. Some would want to be united as one Ireland, but others would perhaps want to be split from the UK but remain their own country. And of course, there are those that would want to stay in the UK. It's a far more complicated situation than Scotland's Yes or No scenario.
