If you need USDs to purchase oil, well, you have to trade shit to us for USDs. Pretty sweet for us. Not so much for the rest of the world.
Considering how much oil the US imports, if we lost that, it wouldn't just be a radical change in lifestyle for Americans, it would be people starving to death.
