I have IBS. Shit is fucking awful. I get cramps, constipation, there are a ton of foods I can't process at all (including basically all sources of insoluble fiber) and nothing has been effective in calming my gut other than marijuana. I don't even need to consume large amounts of it at a time. A gram can relieve the intestinal apocalypse for a week. The other medications I've been given have been nowhere near as effective while also being much more expensive (Yes, even in leaf-land).
Yeah, recreational users of marijuana can be annoying, but if you make your entire personality about a single thing it will always make you insufferable, regardless of what it is.

Nothing is harmless, Anon.
One of the few medications I had been prescribed which was actually even partially effective (which also cost 8 times as much per dosage) gave me severe palpitations, so I had to stop taking that one.
I will admit that I do consume it recreationally at times, but never when it will interfere with my work, and doing so is also far less costly than if I were to drink alcohol recreationally.
