DUDE

For real though, what's the issue with legalized weed?

Can't tax it.

That's what Trump said so it must be the truth.
>>
Most people who demand legalization want it because they're stoners, not because they want justice

In fact, other than weed, stoners often don't know anything about the world. In every other case where they need to be redpilled they openly choose to support government they fight against over the weed case
>>
>>56702705
Exactly. I believe it should be legal but I'd love to see those faggots suffer. Kind of my take on gay marriage too
>>
>>56702593

>can't tax it

Implying I couldn't brew my own moonshine, in my basement, sell it tax free and raise my middle finger to the Gov't.
>>
>>56702705
I'm not a stoner. I smoke on occasion(which means once every 6 months) and it should be legalized. It's been stigmatized for so long but there's no facts that indicate it's anymore dangerous than fast food.
>>
>>56702440
The laws being passed encourage monopolies on growth and sale, and generally don't have a home grow option.

Also, enjoy paying $150/gram.

Stoners generally don't read laws though.

Because people get dependent on it. Weed isn't physically addicting, but it does produce dependency. Any regular smoker is dependent on marijuana emotionally.

Once you become dependent on one substance, when you stop that it is very easy to replace it with another dependency or you might add further substances while still using marijuana (and I'm not saying the gateway thing is just weed, because alcohol is worse with that).

>>56702858
That's what the junkie's who lie to themselves say as well when they asked for salvia and bath salts to be brought back.
>>
And I thought my country's PM was a joke...
>>
>>56702887
You can say the same thing about cigars and booze as well.

Re-read your post and realize how retarded you sound.
>>
>>56702887

this.
>>
>>56702910
Are you implying I'm a junkie?

Absolutely. That's why I said the gateway thing isn't just weed). Alcohol and nicotine are probably worse, but the OP asked about weed specifically.
>>
I've watched my stoner, junkie friends tell me, time and time again, "This time, anon, I'm REALLY quitting weed. For real!"

You want to know what happens when I come to check up on them 1 month later? I don't need to tell you, you already know the answer to this.

If you can smoke weed and get good grades and hold a job and spend time with your girlfriend and just generally be an outstanding guy, then who am I to tell you whether you can smoke a blunt or not.

But if you're like most "WEED LMAO! xD" stoners, then why the fuck would we legalize something so self-destructive for you?
>>
>>56703381
I also think like this

On the other hand i also think we should do something with alcohol and cigs. Either also ban them or raise taxes like 500%. Sure it would create nerve cracking year or two for addicts but it would be beneficial for them in the long run
>>
>>56703381
You can literally replace that entire post with alcohol to the same result. That's your problem and the way you handle your own life. There's millions of alcoholics who destroy their families because all they care about is getting fucking lit up.
>>
>>56703536
He can also change the entire post with anti-depressants, and prescription drugs.
People who get addicte to those things are just weak willed.

I quit smoking cigarettes after smoking for 3 years. I haven't touched one in 5 whole years, and I don't eve get tempted when people smoke in front of me.

This. You certainly can, but that doesn't make weed better.
>>
>>56703719
Right but I'm not advocating whether weed is good or bad. I'm merely comparing it to others like alcohol and cigarettes. No one in their right mind claims those are good for you.

It's a real simple solution: either legalize weed or make alcohol and cigarettes illegal as well.

Well I don't think just because alcohol and cigarettes are legal means we should make more awful things legal.

I'd not be opposed to cigarettes and alcohol being illegal, but, be a tough law to pass. I think the best we can do is hold off the marijuana a bit longer.

Yes. Kill yourself, degenerate.
>>
>>56702799
implying you're not an idiot and you wouldn't just succeed in blinding yourself and people you sell it to
>>
>>56702440
DUDE WEED LMAO
>>
some of you idiots want to keep weed illegal so the "le degenerates" can't get their hands on weed. Guess what? They can smoke it a shitton of it even if it is illegal. They can even grow it and sell it. What is the point of prohibition if it doesn't work at all? Why are we allowing criminals to profit from weed when we could sell it, regulate it and tax it and use the tax money to counter the problems weed supposedly causes on society?

Why doesn't anyone realize that illegalizing the supplying of a product that people want leads to criminals taking over the markets in that area?
>>
There is nothing wrong aside from obvious abuse (usage while driving)

Like alcohol, it should be taxed and regulated.

Makes sense.

But then why introduce it to the people at all then? Let's just say, for the sake of debate, that 5 out of 100 people are pathological addicts.

Let's just say, for the sake of debate, little Timmy over here is addicted to alcohol. That's victim number 1.

Let's just say, for the sake of debate, young Sally over here is addicted to smoking cigarettes.

And our friend Chad over there is addicted to paint, and maybe our little friend over here is addicted to glue. Who knows? Maybe our good friend Jimmy is addicted to internet pornography of all things?

That's 5 little addicts. 5 people with friends, and families, and lives. 5 little victims.

Now let's just legalize marijuana, for the sake of debate of course, and let's see what happens.

Uh oh, looks like Delilah doesn't want to leave her room anymore, because all she does is smoke pot all day and masturbate to pictures on Facebook.

Oh, and it looks like Johnny's running real low on cash because, well, weed is just a whole lot more expensive than booze and cigarettes.

And Billy, what happened to your girlfriend? You lost her because you didn't want to spend any time with her at all?

See, it's not about "what's good" and "what's bad." It's about seeing for ourselves what doing X will do for Y. So yeah, maybe weed isn't as harmful to us as it is for addicts. Maybe weed is just another mild little antacid for settling your stomachs after a rough night. But why even risk it?

How many more will take up marijuana use, and how many of those will actually be productive members of society? I'm not asking you to draw me the numbers on paper (nowadays "on paper" seems to be another way of saying "we were wrong"), but deep down in your heart, do you REALLY believe the people celebrating the legalization of pot are going to be the type of people that lead great lives with satisfying jobs? Or will it be your basement dweller, wallowing in misery as he lights up one last time? You decide.
>>
>>56704776
You make a valid point. But you're forgetting a small piece: monetization. Do you think they give a fuck about those people? All they care about is money and being scum sucking capitalists.
>>
>>56704776

None of those scenarios affect you.

Personal liberty trumps your reservations.
