>People still think Russia is the bad guy here.

discuss
>>
who says its bad lol
>>
Does this count UAVs?
>>
Keep up the good work, America!

See, US and Russia need to compete again, imagine the progress that would be made if we were in the same spirit as the space race.
>>
>>56690422
A larger number of planes involved does not mean they are bombing more.

Some Russian planes are doing close to 100 sorties per day.
>>
>>56690422

russia doubled their planes after paris
>>
>>56690926
>UAV
should

>Number of fixed-wing aircraft deployed to the region, Nov 2015.
>>
>>56691099
this is after Paris.. You can see France on second top there.
>>
>>56691082
>100 sorties per day

Those poor Sukhois and crews. Holy shit.
>>
>>56691184

distinctly remember seeing that number of 34 planes before paris m8

but whatever it's not like this is a bad thing
>>
>>56691184

Then it's wrong, because I distinctly remember reports of ~70 Russian planes running missions.
>>
>>56691200
Sorry i meant some days the rack up some 100 sorties between all planes. It would phisically impossible for a single plane/crew to make 100 sorties a day.
>>
>>56691082
>>56691320
>>56691290

my bad

>The Russian defence minister said the air force was increasing the number of aircraft involved in pounding jihadis to 69.

>Moscow's warplanes have carried out a staggering 394 sorties in just the last three days, hitting 731 rebel targets across Syria.

>34 Russian planes did more damage and kills in a few weeks than 180+ planes did in a year

A good waste of government tax money and a faux operation.

Good job USA.

>200+ planes dropping bombs on any and all targets all day every day with the financial backing of several nations seemingly can't eliminate a group of edgelords fucking around in Syria

How is this actually possible?
>>
>>56691822
Are you a fucking retard?
You can't force people to give up and enforce something without boots on the ground
Even that doesn't guarantee anything

They can hide

Bombing shit only works if your enemy is an organized state with infrastructure to lose
Syria is a wasteland

its no secret that Americas military is ineffectual. They overspend on everything by a huge margin, so while they have the largest military budget on the planet, their money doesn't go as far as countries like Russia or China who get significantly more per dollar since they don't misappropriate so much of the funds. America spends $100 to do or buy what Russians can with $5.

America best pray they never get into direct military conflict with a country like Russia or China, things would end very badly for this glutenous country.
>>
>>56691822

To expand on this point, how much does this actually cost? The amount of money spent on attempting to eliminate a threat is probably unimaginably huge.

At this point it would seem that the grand majority of Syrians that are not involved in the conflict have left the country or are staying in designated camps within Syria (which shouldn't be bombed obviously). So basically every person within ISIS controlled areas is either EXTREMELY stubborn and is willing to risk death in order to protect their house etc (unlikely), or an ISIS sympathizer. This would suggest that the regard for civilian casualties is not as high as any regular targets, meaning these planes could literally just BTFO entire cities. Not that civilian casualties have mattered too much in the past (lol bombed hospital with no terrorists in it sry lmao t. nobel-obama)
>>
>>56690422

At least Russia is trying to bomb extremists. USA and the European devils want to bomb secular assad government in favor of "moderate" rebels.

>spend millions sending fuel to American military camps/bases around the middle east
>get intercepted along the way several times in the hands of Afghani/Iraqi "allies"
>all fuel is sold to civilians and terrorists
>notice flaw in system
>repeat same process over and over
>Indirectly funding terrorism

>Build state-of-the-art high tech power plant in Afghanistan, costing hundreds of millions to give power to Afghani allies and civilians
>Afghani's don't know how to use it
>don't teach them how
>if something breaks, they have no means/tools/expertise to repair it
>power plant never used
>money well spent

>spend decade fucking around in Middle East
>no major objectives achieved

But that was the main objective.
>>
>>56691972
The average american has no fucking clue how much the army overspends. There is an 30inch o-ring that goes on the internal fuel cap of a black hawk helicopter. It's just like a normal o-ring but bigger. I had my supply guy order me one once. He laughed at it ( he was actually from russia and moved to US at 17).

The 30 inch rubber o-ring costs $1200 in our supply system. We had to replace it every time we opened up the fuel cell, which was multiple times a year. We once blew through 3 of them in 1 month on 1 bird.

That's only one small small story about the over spending.

We had a joke. If you wanted to get rich, invent a speciality tool for an american helicopter. The army will pay you twice as much for twice as long as anyone else.

150 sorties, 2 kills

top kek ISIS. Were they ever actually a threat?

American RoE is bullshit.

Those two kills being the Russian pilots?

Sounds like you need a 75% discount for that #
>>
>>56692215
>no major objectives achieved
Get a load of this goy. The initial main objectives have been achieved and they are slowly but surely progressing towards the ultimate goal.

>comparing "total strikes" when Russia has only been operating there for a short time

No, moron, the U.S. has been dropping those bombs in a field somewhere because our pilots already said Obama denies 75% of the strikes for some bullshit reasons. But we all know the real reason is because he's a fucking jihadist Muslim.
