IMO the rule for being a world war should be that it must involve fighting more or less at the same time in a minimum of 2 separate continents.
ISIS attacked France (in Europe) and is involved in an ongoing fight in Syria (Asia).

It's more like ISIS vs Russia vs rebels the US supports vs Turkey vs the rest of nato vs Russia again vs the US vs China..it's only getting more tangled, and the incident with the Russian jet is only the start. It will blow over, but it sure is adding tension.
Because people aren't thinking that USA is on the same side as Russia and China.

US has been caught funding ISIS, NATO won't protect 1/2 their members. China and Russia are on the same side with generally good relations

Third world economies will fall apart, first worlders will get richer but their average joe will lose quality of life.
