I have had "colleagues" of mine lattely claiming that Finland is "better than the US", "the best country in the world", or "more free than America" What say you? Are they correct or not? Why?
Not sure about Finland's status, but any noguns country is automatically less free than us.

I've visited Helsinki on a whim for 3 days back in October. I liked it so much, I'm currently looking for work there. The only thing I didn't like about the country was the customs office was rude and my hostel was filled with Refugees.

Finland got lots of guns but they are for hunting and the army, less private ownership.

It's better if you have some terminal illness or if you want to live with neetbux or are a student. For workers not so much, do extra hours and you end up making less because of progressive taxation.
It's definitely not as free. We have conscript army, public schools, public universities, public healthcare. Lutherian Christianity has special status. You run from state institution to another your entire life. State also has monopoly on some things like alcohol sales and railways, they also own large shares on telecomms, airlines, those big boats, some of the paper and metal industry. Said to be the least corrupt country but not sure maybe the opposite.
