Another Brit here, my town is a Norse settlement, next door its a Dane settlement founded by Havelock, for some reason there are a few Danish born Danes floating around here and anyone with any family history from this part of England is probably at least half Dane and the rest Angle because so much of the fishermen here came from Denmark. England is pretty awful for owning a car. Insurance for under 25s is pretty much always 800 or 1000 quid for a guy and if some Paki breaks in front of you deliberately for the insurance cash suddenly its 2000. Government tax, congestion tax, MOT charges and just passing your test takes about a year and usually costs a total of 800 quid. I don't have a clue how all these 'deprived minorities' are driving around in 3 litre plus early 2000s BMWs legally.
