>Let's avoid that by separating church and state.
Church and state are already separated. People who are religious coincidentally make up Congress. Congress is elected by the people for the people. Meaning congress represents the whole of society. If Congress passes a law, then that means it (hopes to) benefit(s) society. If you disagree with anything Congress have to say, you can write to your governor. Or better yet. Become the governor.
>Nope. Not helping refugees while we still have homeless kids and veterans
This is a valid complaint. How can we take care of our problems + someone elses if we can't take care of our problems
>Nope. I don't want to raise taxes
>implying this is the only way to take care of veterans
>their parents are just lazy and want handouts
We shouldn't reward bad behavior. This is a valid complaint
>Let's fund planned parenthood
Agreed. Maybe now we can stop the dirty niggers from having kids at 15
>Let's give everyone easier access to health care
>implying that both republicans and democrats don't want healthcare.
The only question is the implementation
>>56607447
Church and state are already seperate. xkcd is just mad cause people in the state still go to church and don't worship liberal equations.
Yes the local population that is actually just down on their luck should be helped, and the criminal among them should not be helped.
There are more ways to help vets and the homeless without raising taxes, but that's all libfags can think of.
Planned parenthood stops godless niggers from having kids.

Why so much dialogue, where is the punchline?
>hurr durr America is one person
Jesus christ, xkcd. I can't even count the amount of times I've heard this exact argument used on the boards here.
>>56607447
Yes, because they're not refugees. That's why the left succeed in debates. They literally make up the terms out of whole cloth.
>white privilege
>systemic racism
>refugee flight
All literal bullshit.
>>56607447
The 'rational' one, see author, asserts that the government should absorb the cost of peoples poor decisions.
>>56612395
xkcd doesn't do punchlines. They're too hard for stick figure artists to figure out.
>>56607447
Yes it is bullshit, Anon.
Who the hell cares if something is a religion or not. By that logic you could just dress some criminal organization as a religion and suddenly they're 50% untouchable.
How stupid does one have to be to think that just because two things are both called religion that they both cause equal amounts of harm?
>>56613270
Yeah. I thought it was xkcd too. But it's just similar style.
But xkcd doesn't do colors and the lines are too thick. Besides. google says the only place this is from is atheist universe
>>56613807
They're all one in the same, my friend. xkcd with any other label would smell just as shitty.
>>56614098
twobeeheych my famila, xkcd is pretty funny
Title text: "Due to a typo, I initially found a forum for serious Fleshlight enthusiasts, and it turns out their highest-end models are ALSO capable of setting trees on fire. They're impossible to use without severe burns, but some of them swear it's worth it."

>We shouldn't reward bad behavior. This is a valid complaint
>this is what /pol/ actually believes
look m8, it's nice that you are well-educated and have enough of a social safety net that you don't need to worry about this sort of problem. But the reality is that many of these people are not well-educated, or struggle with mental illness, or became homeless through misfortune, not "bad behavior." Yours is the same mentality that says we should seek to punish criminals rather than rehabilitate them.
Look at it this way: homeless people have been punished for their "bad behavior" for thousands of years. And people have been punished in every way imaginable for committing murder. But guess what? People still wind up homeless, and people still murder. Punishment doesn't work. The best way to prevent homelessness and murder is *education*.
>>56617915
>implying not rewarding something is the same thing as punishment
>implying economic darwinism is bad
>implying the mentally ill make up the majority of the "dindu nuffin" welfare queens and not people who make bad decisions
The conservative position is that socialism does not help our people destitute people. There is a lot of evidence for this. For instance an increase in tax can lead to a reduction in jobs. The general conservative view is the private sector handles things better provided the government stays out of it's way. If you look at Obama-care it's been a disastor for the poor. If they don't buy healthcare than they have money subtracted from their tax refund, if they do buy healthcare it is more expensive and covers less than in the past. The overseers of a corporation had to earn their position through merit so they are very good at keeping costs down and efficieny up, while politicians get their job by flattering voters and receiving campaign donations from 3rd party.
Socialism really only works in a homo-genius state anyway. Inviting a ton of poor people to immigrant to your country and than saying you are going to take away from the native citizens and give it to them is insane.
>>56607447
What? I think most christians also agree with seperation of church and state. What kind of bullshit is this?
