Reminder Cruz isn't arguing to outlaw gays or atheism, he just has a problem with the supreme court redefining marriage. Every time he's pressed on the gay issue, he says it should be left to states to decide and if people want gay marriage, they should vote for it, not leave it to unelected lawyers.

Because the constitution clearly says freedom of religion, ANY religion. Which means that first of all, gays could start a religion it witch they are allowed, and it is moral for them to get married. And that means you can't stop them, because you will be infringing on their freedom of religion. The same for atheist. They can start a church that says God does not exist. And worse, muslims could say they want sharia law to be recognised on american soil.
Christians are having it very good in America today. Wanting more, will not only make people hate them, but it will bring forward a lot of problems because the same rights that they claim can be claimed by anyone.
