The thing about NEETs is that they don't do it for philosophical reasons or make the best of it. Most of them are just too inept or do anything so they ended up as NEETs doing nothing of value either for the economy or for themselves.

If you are able to truly work on yourself and learn, produce, be an artist or whatever then yeah go ahead, being free from financial constraints is great. But most NEETs don't live up to that and end up wasting away their life in meaningless activities "wageslaves" do also, except they don't contribute to society or the economy.

I would never say this bullshit about wage slave and such. It is an ok life to be an average employee in most parts of the world. If you can do something you're good at and or enjoy even better. If you really love your job and want a career I can understand very well why people would do that even though I have never been a career person myself.

But, it is true, to do what you want all day, is best. But it is also a form of self employment. I'd still do work but I do it my way and according to my schedule.
