Let me start off by saying that I catch shoplifters, I won't say where exactly but I should mention that It's considered a Nicer clothing store. in a decent area with two pretty bad Neighborhoods close by
Anyway when I started it was abundantly clear that both my co-workers weren't very aware of how to catch shoplifters, They didn't understand the mannerisms that people display when they steal but The one I hanged out with most of the time was very eager to learn.
On my first day I look through our Files and see that literally every single person we've caught shoplifting this year (about 50 ish people) was black. I mean every single one.
I Kinda chuckled it off and 3 months later I understand why, They are the only motherfuckers that steal. Every single god damn day I watched countless white people pay for their stuff and leave. While at the same time Hundreds of fucking Blacks come in and act suspicious as hell before stealing shit. At first this only red pills me further but then we got a visit from Corporate.
This woman was the living embodiment of a SJW. She was atleast 300 pounds with Blue dyed hair and I knew she was gona be trouble when she came to visit
She looked through I files and Went absolutely berserk "WHY ARE YOU ONLY CATCHING BLACK PEOPLE?! WHY DOES IT ONLY SAY 'Africian American Individual was seen' On these police reports" Yada yada yada
I flat out tell her that i've been doing this a long time and We don't focus on people because they are black but oddly enough they seem to steal the most.
She acts like I just put on my KKK robes as she continues to give me shit until finally leaving.
Fast forward two weeks later and I get written up for "Discrimination" based solely on what that bitch said. They didn't ask me or try and get my side of the story. The point is no matter what you do you're always gona get fucked over when it comes to race.

The worst thing an LP can do is called a "Bad stop" if we stop someone who didn't steal. they can sue the company and they will win because you're accusing and detaining them for stealing when they are not. I've seen friends get fired for it and people get PAID. if you're seriously getting stoped Espicaly more then once and this happened withen the past 3 months or so I'd sue the ever loving shit out of them. start by calling the manager of the store and demanding to know why you were stopped for shoplifting. Then ask for a copy of the "evidence" they had aginst you. They will drop spegehtie and you will probabaly get a phone call from the companies lawyer offering you an out of court settlement. Large majority of the people we detain for shop lifting are either black or hispanic. However the Hispanics are usually young (16-22ish) where as we detain all ages of blacks for stealing.

Yeeep, the entire situation currently at work is fucked, here in rooland records management, everything is now being digitized, meaning that our workforce is obsolete. Except it really doesn't have to be, instead of sending our records of to an external company that gets paid loadsemone just to collect, shred, and then throw out our documents, we could be doing that, that would take a few years and allow proper reassignment of the people working here in non retarded positions, and give us something to do. When I was a student I worked at the mall for a large chain (Victoria's secret, yes I'm a girl) and we were told very very quietly by our supervisors to watch black people because they will be the ones shoplifting 99% of the time in amounts that harm the store. I supervised retail Loss Prevention for 3 years in a major electronics chain. Honestly it was about an even split between blacks and whites.
From my experience. whites tended to be trickier and would be smarter about it. They would work in teams and run distractions, they would scout the locations beforehand, they would have loss prevention tools ordered online to open cases and foil lined bags to defeat the sensors.
