I really want the Canadian Prairies to separate and create a new country. Separatists got over 100,00 votes in the 1982 Alberta election. With another Trudeau I think we could make some headwinds.

It's a question of which provinces have enough natural resources or product output to sustain themselves alone. The territories with their mining and oil may survive, same as Alberta, but the rest of the prairies, and most likely BC would all crumble as we all have only one principle output and not really enough to justify a seperate economy. The only way BC could stay afloat is selling our electricity and water en masse to america.
