Bit of an interesting question, /pol/: what do you think about drugs? Specifically, what do you think about legal drugs like alcohol and nicotine, do you think they should be legal, and if so, why or whether do you think they're different from the multitudes of drugs that are currently illegal?
>>

>>
WEED
>>
First of all, alcohol can't be illegal we already tried that, it's too easy to produce. and tobacco isn't shit it's hardly a drug, coffee should be a drug too if you consider tobacco one
>>
nicotine is pretty benign.

it's addictive as all fuck, but it's not gonna physically harm you.

>For the first time we report the effect on the rat of long-term (two years) inhalation of nicotine. The rats breathed in a chamber with nicotine at a concentration giving twice the plasma concentration found in heavy smokers. Nicotine was given for 20 h a day, five days a week during a two-year period. We could not find any increase in mortality, in atherosclerosis or frequency of tumors in these rats compared with controls. Particularly, there was no microscopic or macroscopic lung tumors nor any increase in pulmonary neuroendocrine cells. Throughout the study, however, the body weight of the nicotine exposed rats was reduced as compared with controls. In conclusion, our study does not indicate any harmful effect of nicotine when given in its pure form by inhalation.

Degenerate.

Drugs only lead people to chase that next high and they accomplish nothing.

I think weed should be legalized so that weed prices skyrocket, growers are out of a job as there is a lot of red tape about it, regulation about smoking Mary Jane and driving, and there comes legislation about where they can/ can't smoke. It's the ultimate troll thing to do. :^)

This. We can't even stop people from making alcohol in prison. It's way, way too easy to make. Even animals get drunk off rotten fruit.

You can go to the grocery store right now and buy a lb of poppy seeds, shake them up in water with a bit of citrus and get a sweet dose of opium. Costs you about 6 bucks.

Nice homeopathic pain reliever that doesn't wreck your liver or stomach like Tylenol or aleve respectively.

BTW it's a felony

You actually think making thousands of licenses for legal growers in a regulated market would make prices sky rocket?

Leads to nothing? What exactly is your life leading to? a hole in the ground, you may as well enjoy it

i don't think the tobacco plant in its unprocessed state is harmful.

the problem: the curing process. the leaves spend months (sometimes years) sitting around curing, going through a series of smoke and heat treatments. this is where the really nasty carcinogenic compounds are introduced. this is why chewing and dip tobacco rots your jaw.

but there's a smokeless tobacco that goes through a different curing process: swedish snus. it's "steam-cured." this dramatically makes the product safer.

Do you know how much red tape would be around getting the license from the feds? It would immediately make legit growers unable to. And the taxes? Ha! It would be hilarious. Big corps would come in and an oligarchy would form with big companies keeping the prices as high as they're able to. You're just a degenerate that does want to face facts that big business wants to cu.ck all you weedlmaos.

>>
>>56567207
Degeneracy: dangerous drugs that are done for no social gain, only to be used for the high that they give the user. The user than uses this drug again and again chasing this high, often to the detriment of themselves and their personal life and their biology. For example, alcohol can be taken to degenerate levels if one becomes an alcoholic. Some people physically can't quit drinking cold turkey or else they will die.
>good drugs
Drugs that are used as medicine to cure disease, cancer, stop headaches etc. Before you respond, yes I know the mary jane can be used to help cancer (thc is directly on the cancer), and can help cancer patients if smoking sparingly to give them an appetite. This is used in a medicinal way and is needed and is thus not degenerate.

Redefining the word legitimate is the embodiment of moving the goalposts.

If you need a license to grow it, it's regulated. Just look at how America has handled their clusterfuck of legalization, dispensaries are legal but growing en masse is still illegal so dispensaries have to buy from criminals.

Also dispensaries in America have tiny profit margins, not enough to even justify running one.
>>
Im okay with drugs. What you put in your body shouldnt be the governments business. If you hurt anyone else or steal for drugs thats a seperate issue. I do meth and i have my life together. It helps me work 75-90 hours a week to make a six figure salary

I'm not redefining shit you anal faggot, I used the word legit in a colloquial way. We're not talking about American 'legalization of weed' we're talking about actual legalization here. Get yo' facts straight pardner.

Legalized drugs would be better for everyone. Studies have shown how ending prohibition not only reduces income for violent gangs, but also benefits local businesses and internal revenue. Oh boy those last two perks really do smell sweet for the capitalists don't they? Too bad those pesky neo-con rednecks and all of their talk of God have ruined the GOP for everyone, or else the they would be on board with liberalizing the use of drugs for casual purposes.

There are very few reasons to regulate drugs, like the dangers caused by addiction, but with THC it's really not an adverse high at all.

A colloquialism is a word, phrase or other form used in informal language. Dictionaries often display colloquial words and phrases with the abbreviation colloq. as an identifier.

It's not colloquial, just incorrect
