This. Amazing, historically accurate, works as a film. The Jews are actually portrayed semi-sympathetically, like the gangsters in the Godfather. It actually points out that it was already corrupt ruling class Gentiles who let the Jews in which is the actual case every time, not something a brainless anti-Semite would admit. Seriously worth your time unless you cannot sit through foreign or black and white movies, in which case I hope you enjoy your twelve simultaneous critically acclaimed series about how white people are inherently evil.

It was a good pulp sci fi where you really couldn't guess everything in real time on the first watch-through. Even after the 2nd watch through it's hard to say that you really caught everything & understood it.
Definitely has it's flaws, including immature CGI ... they tries to do too much with it for it's time and failed horribly in places. Other places it worked better.
Keeping in mind it was cut on a minimal budget, also. Has it been a serious production, it could have been something of a Blade Runner meets Fifth Element, but leaning heavily toward dystopia polluted with gods

I strongly recommend Wings of Desire. Just some heavy head food. The photography is pretty amazing. You get to see a lot of the desolation of the Berlin landscape just prior to the end of the cold war, and the feel of the movie captures a lot of the essence of living under Russian occupation. I lived and worked a lot in East Europe and ... desolation, of the mind and soul. This captures it well.
Anything by Kubrick or Hitchcock is good imo
