Ok... I am interested in examining my morals and fine tweaking them to be as less as a degenerate as possible. Where do I even start? Obviously I first need to ditch all my current friends, but how to find new ones? Any on ideas on how or what it means to live by a high moral code?

What's your beliefs first?
>>

Well I was raised Catholic but I have drifted towards agnosticism as I have gotten older. I've realized without any sort of solid moral compass or purpose I have made some questionable decisions and am not where I want to be in life. I am also economically right wing and a constitutionalist. I was considering in getting involved in some church groups to meet people and what not, but Idk if I can do that with a straight face if I'm not willing to buy into their message 100%.

Reject individualism (at least as it's currently understood), reject moral relativism and subjectivism. Embrace objective morality and serve your God and your kin.

What do you think is wrong with individualism?
>>
>>56556753
That's not what I am asking. I am asking how other people navigated through a similar circumstance. Or what certain philosophies or moral standards are believed to be better for society as a whole. Also for books or films that may be beneficial.

I think you're confusing morals with ethics.
Humans are born with their morals; knowing its wrong to hurt another baby, for example, is biological for us. You can not teach morals to someone, and this is why psychopathic people are incapable of understanding, morally, right from wrong. Ethics, however, must be taught. Ethics are teachings based in a religion or organization meant to either exist beside or take the place of morals. Example:

>Do not hurt other people
Is a moral. We all know not to hurt others. Its a Universal Truth

>Don't be gay, dont be atheist, dont use cannabis, dont work on the Sabbath
Are ethics. These teachings are not universally know, instinctively, by all healthy humans. And therefore, these are not morals.

I would recommend not framing yourself in an ethical box in the hopes that you become better than other people. This is vanity and corruption, and while this pursuit may be one based in vanity and corruption, actual morality has nothing to do with the two.

Stop watching porn. Stop drinking as much. Take care of your body. Read a lot of books. Stop watching trash tv. Stop fucking random sluts. Read some more books. Don't talk about or do stupid shit anymore. Read more books. Work out. Get a job and work hard or better yet start your own company. Treat people with respect but don't let them walk all over you. Be a man. Be masculine. Don't put up with people's bullshit but don't be a dick to people. Realize that everyone has different beliefs and quietly accept that they do not see things the same way you do, if you wish to debate people, be respectful and calm, and don't lecture them. Ask questions. Be calm and deliberate in your speech and actions. Be stoic. Be secure in yourself.

It's not good for society, radical individualism is a tool used by the far left to destroy social and cultural norms that they feel oppressive to certain groups or classes. I'm all for noncorming to a single cookie cutter, but dying your hair orange and spiking it 46 inches high while painting your face purple just to "make a statement to society" is disgusting and degenerate.

A baby chimp will fuck up another baby chimp for no reason. Morality isn't any more universal than ethics. They ain't no right or wrong in the jungle, sweet tits.
>>
Individualism is also fundamentally against our nature as we evolved socially and collectively

No one said anything about chimps.
We're talking about human beings here.
The adults are talking, please stay at the kid's table.

You're right, I did frame the question wrong. I don't want to be better than anyone, I honestly could care less about what someone else does as long as it bears no negative impact on me. I was more searching for a way to get the most out of my existence and benefit not only myself but my family and society as a whole. I feel like I am wasting my time because I have a loose set of beliefs and a lack of understanding on the subject.
>>
>>56556393
I was the same for a while
I drifted away from my religion and did things horrible things that's I would never have done if I had stayed in the church

I'm religious now but I still have some fedora in me and question pretty much everything any fellow thiest tells me because I understand that most people don't every question their religious
Beliefs
In short, take religion with a grain of salt and you will be fine

Im no one to tell you anything.
Just do what youre naturally led to do.
If it doesn't hurt someone else, why make a fuss over it?

Good luck.

This. No man is an island. Viewing the world through an individualistic lens causes you to forget how crucial your friends, family, and community are to your existence. Also, radical individualism quite naturally leads to subjectivism which leads to moral relativism which leads to degeneracy. "I want to be a woman but everyone around me and every segment of society says that I'm a man. Fuck them, I'm entitled to my own individualized truth. I'm a woman."
>>
>>56557949
OK I understand your logic and agree with you, but how is this different than a conservatives view of indivualism. Isn't that the majority philosophy? Individual rights and property?
>>
>>56557773
Very thought provoking. So the belief individualism in terms of a search for a higher individual meaning can actually lead to a hollow life and solitude with little to no meaning.
>>
>>56558111
It's actually the liberal view (as in, classical liberalism, which today often goes by the name of conservatism) and has indeed been an increasingly popular view since the advent of modernism and the Enlightenment. The whole point of the Dark Enlightenment is to reject some of these premises that have been taken for granted for so long. It's hard to do because it's so counter cultural, but it needs to be done in order to turn back degeneracy.

Why in the fuck do you need to do that?

You're fucking retarded, OP. Perfect useful idiot for a cult.

And radical collectivism turns us into a race of ants

A middle ground exists.
>>
>>56558460
Which is where tribalism and race realism come in. Prioritize which people you consider part of your collective based on who is actually similar to you and who it is sensible to identify with.

Because all they do is drink, smoke cigs, and that's literally that is all. They won't do anything else.
