I graduated in 2011. I've been casually following campus developments of late, such as the as Argus/BLM fiasco. Sorry to hear about the current campus climate. It was fairly chill when I was there, although I spent most of the time in the CFA, which wasn't as political as some of the other departments.
But....it's called UBC because it's the U of a billion Chinese. Every time I visited my bud there for fight tourneys it was 90% Asian and barely any white people, with zero anything else.
And at least last time I checked, the Asian kids are too rich to be worried about racism from poor white kids.
