Some one had mentioned today on here or /x/ that the Persian Gulf had been purposefully flooded to hide something sinister. Only info I've been able to gather is of an ancient civilization perhaps beneath the waters.
Any more info would be welcomed on this one in particular, others are welcomed.

There's a good chance some archeological sites were buried or submerged with the shifting of rivers and sea levels.

No.
A lot of human history lies underwater now, but I really don't think it was purposeful. Who did it? How? Why?
It's just a result of changing climatic conditions.
>>56546041
You're fucking stupid. Sea levels rose because the ice melted at the end of the last ice age, thus flooding the land that became the Persian Gulf.

This is actually true my leafy friends, big rivers specially tend quite often to change course.
An excellent example is the yellow river in China, here, have a paper (RARE)
http://www.irtces.org/pdf-hekou/027.pdf
A river course change would mean the end of an empire so thats why they changed their capital so frequently.
Mesopotamia is another matter altogether, there they had an excelent river delta with exquisite fertile soil but with a mix of bad agriculture technique and wrong usage of dams, they now have the horrible landscape they have.

Its a very real possibility eurasian (hell even african) humankind had a cultural level close to roman empire/medieval tech around 3000 - 1500 b.c but they got kuked into oblivion by a global climate change and different human races migrations (check Marija Gimbutas Kurgan hypothesis).

>>56551193
I don't think it's impossible we've had previous cultural/technological ascensions/regressions, but I think your timing is a little off.
Kurgan hypothesis is true, as far as genetics can tell us, but it's also pretty well attached to the spread of technology with it.
If we want to look at the possibility of previous civilizations having relatively advanced technology in a widespread sense, we need to look further back. Perhaps before the Ice Age, there was an essentially Renaissance-level of development...

Many ancient historians mention earthquakes and uplifting of land in this region which caused the proto-Phoenicians to migrate. It's supposedly where a mythological island called Panchea was as well which had Cretan colonists on it (probably also proto-Phoenicians)

Well the simple answer is its Eden.
A river watering the garden flowed from Eden; from there it was separated into four headwaters. 11 The name of the first is the Pishon; it winds through the entire land of Havilah, where there is gold. 12 (The gold of that land is good; aromatic resin[d] and onyx are also there.) 13 The name of the second river is the Gihon; it winds through the entire land of Cush.[e] 14 The name of the third river is the Tigris; it runs along the east side of Ashur. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.

The human civilization started right along the river that is now Persian Gulf. Then at some point the flood, mentioned both in the Torah and the Sumerian texts happened. According to both the "giants" were actually a result of racemixing between the humans and the divines (nephilim, the offspring of the sons of God and the human maidens in the bible).

I get Monarch programming, but what does it have to do with the paris attacks?
Ok, so i got a theory.
Millions of years ago, ancient alien civilization decided to send colony ships to our solar system.
Both missions were successfull and both Mars and Earth was colonized at the beginning. Both Mars and earth were quite Icy planets.
Then something happened to the sun and it started emitting more heat and radiation that was meant to.
First the mars colonys main city called Atlantis, was wiped out, because of the flood, but they managed to send ship towards earth with full of animals and genetic materials.
Ship was called Noah's Ark.
Because ship crash landed, all the tech was lost, but humanity survived as we know it. Only problem was that the earth colony was also destroyed (earlier) and only thing was left of them was apelike neanderthals.
So, Mars people ahd to fight the neanderthals and eventually we wiped them out, altho we were both from the original human species.
This whole happenings took time tens of thousands of years and you know how fast civilization can fall and we go back to stone age.
TL:DR
We are refugees from Mars, that got blasted away.
