Actually the truth is that almost ubiquitously across US states, as well as the UK and Australia, when guns were banned, violent crimes rose. In the UK, it was over 60% cumulative over 10 years, in Australia, ~45% over 10 years.
The reason you specify only violent crimes involving guns is because you know the fact that other violent crimes drop when these bans are lifted. So tell me this, would you prefer 160 violent crimes including B&E, rape, murder, assault, etc, with one type of weapon, or 100 violent crimes with guns?
